Nathaniel grabbed her hands and twirled her around. "You're lucky to have me as your husband than some stupid werewolf." He grinned, briefly kissing her back. "Hey! Don't blame me. You know what happened the last time we did training, don't you?" He shook his head. "Yes, we can do actual training, dear— but there is enough time in the day for both." He grinned, kissing her passionately before pulling away. "Now, come on." He walked out of the study, looking back at the neatly organized room. He grabbed Ember's hand at the door and teleported them both outside the palace.
Nathaniel brushed himself off. "Best way to travel around here. Now, I assume you still have the dagger I gave you, right?" He summoned his bo-staff. He didn't want another accident like last time.
Ember laughed and earned her head against his chest,"well I suppose you have a point there don't you." She kissed him back sweetly bringing one of her hands to his cheek and smiled softly, she followed after him with a small smile on her face and took his hand when he reached for hers "hm your going to have to teacher me how to do that you know, yes u still have the dagger dear don't worry."
Nathaniel got into position, holding his staff, so he could attack quickly. "I'll teach you later. Right now, I've got to teach you not to get cut by my blade." Basically, he was acknowledging the fact that he was using the weapon he used to teach kids and beginners. "Better get your dagger out and prepared. I'm going to strike when you least expect it." And with that, he swung his staff towards her left side. If he was using a bladed weapon, it would have slashed open her left side.
Ember shook her head and laughed a little pulling out the dagger "so how exactly and I supposed to deflect your attack…with a dagger." Before embed could add anything else to her sentence she rolled out of the way and swung her dagger just missing Nathaniel's shoulder by a couple inches
Nathaniel was panting, bringing his staff back into its position. "What? Do you want a sword? Use the flat edges of the blade." He moved his body, teetering to the right, so the blade wouldn't cut him. "Not bad! Could use some work. Well, some foundational work." He went over to Ember and traded her dagger for a falcata (A sword). "How does that feel in your hands?"
Ember smirked a little bit and took the blade "well it's different,I can definitely do some damage with this are you sure?'
Nathaniel ruffled her hair, throwing the dagger to the side. “Yes. I am very sure. I know you won’t slice me open— we’ll slice me enough to bleed out.” He summoned his scythe in place of his bo-staff. “Be very cautious.” He got prepared, positioned for an attack. He swiped the scythe at her legs, hoping she’d doge the attack.
Ember nodded and got ready for his attack she jumped luckily just in time so she wasn't hit "cutting it close there don't ya think?"
Nathaniel smiled, proud of Ember. “Maybe, but your enemies won’t care if they’re cutting it too close. They’ll want you dead.” He swung for her right side, hoping another accident doesn’t occur.
Ember smirked a little bit "ya know it would have been more fair with the stick!" She jumped backwards the scythe just missing her stomach hell if she wasn't fast enough shed be in two pieces on the ground
Nathaniel huffed, shaking his head. “How is a stick going to help you learn? It’s not! Use the sword I gave you, Ember.” He planted the butt of the scythe in the ground, raising an eyebrow. “You haven’t even touched me with you blade.”
Ember shook her head and looked up a Nathaniel "I don't want to hurt you!"
“Ember, it’s just training. It’ll heal instantly. Don’t worry about hurting me— it doesn’t do anything.” Nathaniel walked up to Ember, positioning her hand so it was in an attack position. “Strike me, Ember. You’re not going to hurt me.”
"Nathaniel- whats the point of me striking you?!" She dropped her arm down beside her leg and looked up at him her face was red but not out if anger
Nathaniel sighed, hugging Ember. “So you get used to hurting your opponents— but I guess that’s not giving to work with me being your opponent.” He kissed her upon the forehead, brushing hair out of his dear wife’s face. “Training is going slightly better, don’t you think?”
Ember stood there for a minute before dropping the sword and wrapping her arms around him and letting out a don't breath" I'm sorry okay I'm sorry I just can't do it" she sighed and shook her head "I don't think it's going better than last time I mean, I didn't get stabbed but I haven't done anything but jump around."
“Hey, don’t apologize, Ember. I get it. I’m not some nasty, old demon you have to please.” Nathaniel placed both hands on her face, tilting it up and giving her a long, passionate kiss. “You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do, my dear.” With the snap of his fingers, the sword and his scythe dematerialized. “Not getting stabbed is automatically better than last time. What would you like to do, sweetheart?”
Ember let out another sigh as Nathaniel lifted her head up to kiss her she wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back sweetly her eyes fluttering closed "I don't know what do you want to you"
Nathaniel wrapped his arms around her waist, kissing her back. "How about you choose." He pushed her against the outside wall, giving her multiple long kisses. "We could always go rest." He kissed her many times on the neck, leaving a few marks. "Or maybe go on an adventure in the human world."
Ember laughed a little bit kissing him back soft and moved her head is he had more room "ya know it might just be me but I think you're trying to sway me into 'resting' which I wouldn't complain if you were~"
Nathaniel kissed her neck. “You know me well— but you were the one you brought up the idea.” He looked around. “Let’s go back Inside and continue in an appropriate lactation.” He grabbed her hand, teleporting them back to his bedroom. He kissed her on the lips once again.
She snickered a warped her arms around his neck "yes I did…" She couldn't help but laugh again and nodded her head kissing him back once they were back inside she was smiling a little but mostly just because of how Nathaniel was acting
“And since you proposed it—you can do what ever you’d like.” Nathaniel kissed her neck, giving Ember small bites here and there. “Do you like it when I’m like this?” He traced her bottom lip with his his thumb. “I like it when you smile, my dear. It makes me feel happy.”
Ember shook her head and kissed him again "I've never been the dominant type dear…i don't know if I'll be able to do anything," she smiled again "yes of course I like it went your like this, I'll always smile when I'm around you "
Nathaniel kissed her back, nipping at her lip. He pushed onto the bed. “You have to try once. You’ll never know if you don’t try.” He stared deep into her amber eyes. They reminded him of fall. A perfect season. “I’m glad I can always make you smile, because you make me smile, dear.”
