Injuries that lead to more injuries. An example would be if a character lost an eye, they'd have no depth perception, making it easier to trip/fall/otherwise hurt themselves.
Things like that.

Arranged marriages that are shown positively. I haven't seen really any of this and it's not good. Especially bc there's so much about what an evil institution it is.

Yeah, I actually think it can be a postitive thing in that it takes the stress of making that first connection off of your shoulders. My friend is planning to get an arranged marriage, so fingers crossed all goes well.

@Starfast group

What gets me is when the character is like some kind of royalty and they get all whiny about having to be in an arranged marriage as if that wasn't expected of them all along. Like I can understand not wanting an arranged marriage but I need characters to stop acting like they never saw it coming.
I feel like it's one of those things that authors do to make a character seem more relatable but it really makes no sense when you think about it.

Anyways, this was just a really roundabout way of saying that I agree about the arranged marriage point.

@Pickles group

Casual inclusion of queer people, just like. Briefly in the background and there's not any discussion about it, it's just okay for them to exist. HoWeVeR don't hype that up as some awesome representation or groundbreaking or whatever because that just makes you seem homophobic. Your idea of representation shouldn't be one line about a woman's wife because that's not representation

@HighPockets group

Bro I've started tearing up because I'll be reading a book and one of the characters just casually mentions her wife or something. It took me forever to read Crier's War because every time there was a Soft Interaction or sexual tension I just put the book down and internally died inside because oh my God it's the tropes I like but with two girls!!!

Girls fights: I keep reading books where the males get into rights and they throw punches and tackle each other, but I want a book where the female gets into fights and she and the other female in the fight start head butting each other and calling names and pulling hair…; - ;

@Katastrophic group

tbf, from many stories and experiences of my mom dealing with students fighting, girls do tend to do more clawing and pulling than actual punching. Though apparently when girls fight the teacher is supposed to make sure others are out of the way and wait for security cause it's more murderous than boys fighting (which teachers are suppoed to get between them and break contact).
Not to be sexist or whatever but middle schoolers in my area seem to follow this trend more than not.

Yeah this isn't actually sexist! It's just an interesting trend; I assume it's because boys tend to have more strength than girls and thus lean toward brute force (e.g. punches) while girls tend to have sharper nails (unless you play an instrument rip) and have to claw.
