@Althalosian-is-the-father book

welllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll I mean he's not really wrong. A human's base instincts are to fight, fuck, and feed.

Fight? Really? But isn't that just a reaction to hostile environments?

oh oh ALSO

Female love interests that take on an almost 'mom' like role with their broody, overly large, ultra sexy warrior man.
ENOUGH with Oedipus complexes. Its damn groooooooooooooooss.

BLEGH WHAT WHY HOW AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Also anyone who says Hamlet has an Oedipus complex owes me $450000 dollars. Also, as John Green points out, Oedipus himself technically doesn't have an Oedipus complex.

Mine are fight, sleep, and feed.

My main character is bullied, but that's because he tried to ask a popular girl out to Homecoming and he didn't know she had a boyfriend, but now the boyfriend, being super over possessive and not realizing that it was a mistake, now harasses him.

Although we can't blame him for his reaction.

Was his reaction denial? Or are you referring to something else? I haven't read it yet.

Oedipus stabs his eyes out when he becomes aware of his incest.

Oedipus stabs his eyes out when he becomes aware of his incest.

And then his mom hangs herself.
But seriously, stabbing out your own eyes???

I want less of the thing where an author writes a book, but it's just the first book from another character's perspective. Unless it's Peeta's POV of the Hunger Games.
ESPECIALLY if it wouldn't be drastically different from the first book and could have been avoided if the author had done split perspectives.
Like, Peeta's POV Hunger Games would show the Careers and how they felt about the Games, and his feelings towards Katniss, and idk I'd just chop off my arm to read the trilogy from his POV.
