"Excuse me miss, I don't know where you come from, but there's no reason to be disrespectful." The officer said, crossing his arms over his chest. "I was given evidence, and I just assumed. There's a much easier way to go about telling me it was a misunderstanding." He clearly wasn't in the mood for this, but he put up with her anyways.
"well don't make assumptions" she growled
"Look, I've had a long night. I don't need your crap right now. I don't know what your problem is, but you need to stop it." The officer snapped, crossing his arms over his chest. "You're going to suck it up, or I'm going to have to take you to the station with me until we get these questions answered. Your friend could be arrested for this."
" my friend didn't fucking cause this we were in there when shots went off " getting in his face and the officer next to him tazed her and she fell her breathing problems acting up and she started hyperventilating on the floor
Brad watched the thing in horror, dropping down next to her. "Caroline!" He called out weakly, taking her hand in his. He didn't know what to do. Though paramedics came over lightly pushing Brad out of the way so they could get to her. The officers had tight frowns spread over their faces, as a third one came up and mumbled something under her breath.
"What the hell? Does she have an allergic reaction?" The second officer asked for a cop he wasn't that intelligent
Everyone down on the floor, including the other officers gave him a dumb look before ignoring him as they went back to their jobs. "She's got lung problems. She's going to get surgery for it in the next couple of weeks." Brad informed, mostly to the paramedics as the daft officer was still standing there. "Officer James, come on. We've got important things to do." Officer Kilts said, signaling for him to come along.
The officer followed along.
"Ms. Woods can you hear us, we need you to keep your eyes open" the paramedics said as Caroline's eyes started to get droopy
Brad watched as tears begun to spring at his eyes, trying to keep from freaking out too bad. "Baby, please." He begged her, standing above the paramedics. "Come on, you need to stay awake."
They put a oxygen mask on her covering her nose and lips her eyes weakly looking at brad
There was nothing he could do, as he stared down at her. He still had the ring in his hand, trying to keep from crying. If they had to take her in for immediate surgery, he needed to be able to call everyone if she didn't make it. He had to be the one. Thomas was gone, and no one else was around… or so he thought. "Brad?" A soft female voice asked from behind him.
Caroline looked back at the noise
Brad whipped around, his eyes growing in surprise to seeing a semi familiar face. "Kaylee?" He asked rather confused, constantly glancing back over to Caroline in confusion. "What on earth are you doing here? You should be back-" Though Brad was cut off by Kaylee catching sight of Caroline. "I'm too late…"
Caroline's eyes slowly started to close
The paramedics called in an ambulance, causing Brad to stress. One of the paramedics, probably in her late thirties, looked up to Brad as she chewed on her bottom lip. "She has to go in. We might have to preform immediate surgery." The blonde woman said, leaving the younger man tending to her. "How far away from home are you three?" Brad glanced over to Caroline, worry eating him up. "We're from L.A.. All family is back there." Kaylee told her, trying to hold down the lump in her throat.
Caroline mumbled one word before passing out "Lucas" Lucas had been her best friend since diapers they were as close as close could be without dating
Kaylee leaned down taking Caroline's hand. She knew that Caroline couldn't hear her, but she was going to try anyways. "He's here… he followed me up. So is Lilly, and Collins." Kaylee told her, holding herself together. "Amber, Jasper and Emmy are here too." Brad had turned from talking to the nurse at the mention of his sister's name. He didn't look happy in the slightest. "We're all here for you Caroline… I promise." Kaylee whispered, as tears ran down her cheeks.
(Timeskip/new chapter? Or is it too early?)
(M'kay. I can write for the beginning if you'd like)
Amber was pacing back and forth she had begged the doctor to tell her something anything anything ten minutes ago and what he told her made her walk back looking tramuatized she didn't say anything just started pacing
Brad was sullen, slumped down in his seat. Everyone was gathered in the waiting room in silence. Nobody wanted to say anything to break it, they were all too anxious to talk anyways. Collins was sitting next to Brad, and Kaylee behind. She was slowly rubbing his shoulders, Lucas looking up at her with a frown. Everybody looked sick, and pale. They were hoping for the best, as the prepared themselves for the worse. No one said a word as Amber paced back and forth.
"she's dead "Amber said her heart isn't beating she doesn't have a pulse she's on fucking life support" she said
