I'm working on a debate for Lang. arts class that I will present to the class and exchange debate with anyone who has a differing view. I think it will be beneficial to open up a thread on this topic and see everyones' view on the topic. I am debating for same-sex marriage, but even if you are against it you are welcome to share your ideas. Please share your stance and why you feel that way.

I would try to help but last time I attempted to voice an opinion my lack of ability to English resulted in everything coming out as a humble-jumbled mess with more holes than my story's plot, so I'm just gonna keep my mouth shut.

I definitely support it as well, lovelies! Even though I'm probably not going to get married anyways but whatever, as long as people are allowed to share in a happy, ceremonial union with both of their consents.
I'd like a reason why please. It can be a short answer of even better one, with lots of evidence. Something that might open someone up that has a different view. and don't feel like you have to write a ton. No pressure!

I do not support it because I believe my religion is true and my religion says it is wrong. Nonetheless, I do not think it should be legally prohibited. I'm a Libertarian so as long as it doesn't directly hurt someone else, I think you should be free to do it.

Yes. Religion is something that should be respected too. Although I believe that something shouldn't be made illegal based on a view from one certain religion because there are people of other religions and beliefs that must be though of. But I'm proud of you for sharing your view!

Also when I debate the subject no one has been able to logically throw me down in an argument if I am arguing on the side of incest. (Note: I also don't think that is okay. But if love is love shouldn't incest be allowed? Not starting an argument unless that's okay, but you should be prepared.
