Share with us some of your fears. Be them weird or common, we want to hear them. But first a disclaimer.

HOMOPHOBIA IS NOT A FEAR UNLESS YOU ARE ACTUALLY SCARED OF GAY PEOPLE.

In addition to that, if you write actual phobia names, please do explain what they are. With that said, share away! :)

I have a light case of adrophobia, and by light I mean like, really light. I don’t like being stared at by men, touched by men I don’t know, and even talking to men I don’t know makes me uncomfortable.

Me too. Also being murdered. Or kidnapped and then murdered. And being forced into a cult yay true crime for making me fear all that

@RedTheLoveless

Arachnophobia: spiders, obviously
Tokophobia: getting/being pregnant
Whatever the fear of uncontrollable heights is (if I climb, I'm fine. If I'm lifted by someone/something else, I will freak out).

@Rainy_is_back

Needles. I hate needles. They freak me out, and just Shudders. I really really don't like needles. Meaning I don't like shots. And then I don't like anything to do with doctors in general. I really just don't like them. Not that they're bad, I just don't.

I’ve got Tokophobia as well; fear of getting/being pregnant.

Genophobia: Fear of sexual relations. I don’t mind people talking about them, it does bother me a little bit but I can deal with it. I DO NOT want to go into one myself.

Radiophobia: Fear of ionizing radiation. As in, the stuff that kills you. And nuclear war, but I don’t know if that would fit into this category. Wasn’t able to find a name for it, so

I have quite a lot, some way more extreme than others
They just kind of keep appearing out of nowhere and it’s almost always something nearly impossible for me to avoid without giving up my dreams or abandoning something important to me

Spiders.
I fricking hate spiders.
They’ve been terrorizing me since I was 2 and I will never forgive them.
They deserve to burn in the hell they came from.

Bees/wasps are also scary but definitely the most mild of the fears. I’m only really scared when they land on me…

Toxic chemicals, chemical cleaners, bug spray, rubbing alcohol, etc…
This one isn’t too extreme anymore but when I was about 10 this one appeared and oh boy
I refused to clean anything
I refused to enter one of the bathrooms
I wouldn’t leave my bed unless I was wearing slippers (to protect my feet from the chemicals we used to mop the floor)
And I’d cry if I was anywhere near something with scary chemicals
One time my sister was playing with dolls in my bed, but one of them a year before had nail polish in her hair which my mom washed out with nail polish remover before washing that out with soap…
I refused to sleep with any of my existing blankets until they were all machine washed.
It was mid-winter.
I willingly almost froze to death because I was too scared that my blankets might have an itty bitty trace of nail polish remover from a year before.
It was bad…
Now I’m still a little scared and refuse to use some cleaners but I’m not going to burst into tears

Humans are terrifying… most of the time I don’t mind them, sometimes I even adore these precious creatures, but every once in a while I’ll get hit with a brick of paralyzing fear towards everyone, my family, my friends, myself… even you beans.

And that’s just a few of my fears :D
There are so many more!

@Moxie group

Needles. Alcohol wipes. Sharp things near my inner elbow, inner wrist, or neck. The hospital in general. Spiders. Dying via choking on something being shoved down my throat. I have a pretty big scar from a surgery and I'm terrified of it splitting open and all the contents of my stomach spilling out.

@TeamMezzo group

i'm scared of being scared. if that's a thing. i feel like if i get scared, then all my defenses will drop and sh** will hit the fan real fast.

@Moxie group

Also. Kinda irrational but I'm afraid I'm gonna die and my internet friends are never gonna know what happened to me. Or I'm afraid my internet friends are gonna die and I'm never gonna know what happened to them.

@Yamatsu

Failure, obviously. This ties in with my perfectionist habits, where if I don't do something I'm interested in perfectly the first time, then I see no point. It's something I've been working on for years and have gotten better at, fortunately.

That people might remember me not for who I am, but for who I was. I was (and still kind of am) the "weird" kid, and did a lot of stupid shit. Some of it was endearing, some not so much. A lot of the things I have said and done in the past have already come back to bite me in the ass, and so I'm terrified that one day someone might find out everything and everything I'v done up to that point was for nothing.

Death, specifically what's on the other side. I was raised in a conservative, Christian household (at least one that tried to be), and my parents talked about Heaven and Hell in the Bible like they were part of this binary, but given that people who could be wonderful non-Christians were also going to Hell in their eyes, I found it hard to believe. Granted, they never voiced that opinion very often, but it still bugs me, especially since I've started to question my own beliefs. Personally, I believe that there is a loving, omnipotent God out there, mostly because I think it would be strange for something as vast and complex as the universe to not be there one second and then suddenly exploding into reality the next.

Spiders. Fuck. Spiders. And stinkbugs, while we're at it!

I HATE STINKBUGS

WHENEVER THEY FLY IT"S hsiSMKslSJIOISLKAOAAAH

@Katastrophic group

anything with more than 6 legs. I can deal with most insects and four legged animals. I've dealt with bats and snakes (but these are cute). I will not do spiders, centipedes/millipedes, scorpions, or those creepy gross crawly things that look like hair fuzzes until they move.

Also not extreme enough to be a phobia, but I hate being the only one around at night or in dark places near windows or entering/exiting rooms. The basement stairs particularly freak me out. It's been an unspoken rule for me since I was a kid to never look behind me when leaving the basement at night, and to shut the door as quickly as possible without turning around. Also not to look too hard out windows at night, either in house or riding in a car.

Used to have a fear of noises at night after a mouse incident, but since then I've seen many cute mice and have a cat so I can sleep through them now. Sometimes I'll still get freaked out if plastic or smth is blown around by a vent at night.

Last bit is social anxiety talking, lots of my "what are your fears" are dumb and unlikely scenarios brought on by it. My most resently conquered one is going to the store alone (can't find item, lose purse, card declined, people standing in front of the thing i want, someone tries to talk to me, the ENTIRE checkout process, etc). Slowly worked on that one with my patient roommates this last year.

@cherryred

I've got a host of weird ones, starting with whales (specifically, the idea of swimming in the ocean and running into a whale). Moths, skeletons, sinkholes, Charlie Chaplin (yes, don't ask), robots, tidal waves, freight trains, old sped up black-and-white movie scenes, garbage trucks, and 1930s animation. Also spiders.
