hi gonna be rude to DMCA because now my favourite twitch streamers can’t play a lot of music on their channels anymore unless they wanna get their account snapped
royalty free metal music is actually bad and we were stuck with listening to royalty free jazz which isn’t that bad but when you’re listening to jazz during a car chase it really doesn’t fit the environment that well

some streamers have like 100,000 clips how are they supposed to go through all those clips and find out which one has the copyrighted stuff

one of my streamers I watch got two strikes over a song he’d never used
twitch uses a three strike rule where if you get three more your account is gone
one of the other streamers said that one of his favourite parts of streaming was sharing music with his audience but due to the DMCA claims that part is gone now and he thinks it’s really unfortunate
i do too, a lot of the reason why i began to listen to metal was due to this streamer in specific

people are getting strikes from clips back in 2017 and the thing about clips is that they don’t mute copyrighted music, unlike the VODs where copyrighted stuff is muted so I know that it’s the clips doing it
