I don't think that's what he's saying. Debate isn't about being a dick or whatever, it's about arguing your side. No one is being nice to necessarily to make up for "being a dick" later. If that's what this chat will be, I wouldn't dare call it debate.

I believe what he was saying is that the debate is not over yet and that he hasn't replied yet due to the fact that he is busy.

I was joking but ok

Yeah. Like, it's not good, but it's also not the government's choice.

Exactly I don’t think the government is pregnant, so they don’t get a choice

But if it is wrong in a way that can be explained in the moral culture of today, it should be outlawed.

Because maybe they were r*ped and don’t want a baby that would remind them of that, also I’m not a big fan of abortion myself, but I believe it is the persons choice

A horrible thing, truly, but many mothers actually prefer to keep the child in this case.

The rights were written in 1776.

1776.

They're outdated.

Well, they were written in that document then. But human rights do not change. And that document referenced Rights that were from the beginning of the world.

so since our Constitution was written in 1789, the bill of rites is outdated? You are very very misguided and dare I say, shouldn’t be allowed to vote if you believe our founding documents are outdated. these nonsensical beliefs are why we have Trump; why we have a would-be authoritarian dictator in the White House

These nonsensical “History doesn’t matter“ beliefs are dangerous. They are the reason we have someone who if allowed, would be a menace to freedom, and would silence all dissent

I hope yall realize that the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence are two separate documents 13 years apart

But you can't deny that if we did everything the way we used to, it would be chaos.
