@thehobbit

please do

okay so Freshman year I was in theatre. People were talking about LGBTQ+ things and growing up in a christian bubble the only thing I had hear of was being straight and gay. didn't have a CLUE what anyone was talking about, especially as they were using lots of terms for like specific kinds of attraction and stuff. I went home and decide to google stuff to figure out what it all was so I could participate in the conversation, right? So im looking at this list of orientations in one tab and googling them in another, kinda just going down rabbit hole after rabbit hole. eventually i get to Asexuality. I look at the definition and think, "oh, that kinda sounds like me, but I like guys I think so i'm definitely straight." (I have never had a crush or anything at this point btw, just 'knew' I wanted to marry a guy someday) SO I just go on with my life and dont even think about the fact that I was totally not straight, feeling totally lost in conversations about boys and relationships, pretending to have crushes, even having a "boyfriend" (we held hands for a month maybe. he kissed me and three days later told me he wasn't ready for a relationship.).
flash forward to senior year and I have a friend in theatre, she is new and she is openly Ace. I ask her about it a little and she mentions it a lot so I learn quite a bit. later that year I remember my search of definitions from freshman year and think about everything a bit and I was like OOOOHHHHH! so THATS WHY im like this! so THAT'S why that never made sense! Oh!

so, yeah, that's how I procrastinated figuring out I was Ace! :)

we're raised to think that you need to have a straight marriage, and that as soon as you get into high school, you are going to want to Get A Partner

2018= 20GAYteen because Gay is sort of a slash rhyme for the eight in Eighteen.
2019= 20biteen becuase BI kind of rhymes with the 9 in nineteen.

Yup.
Also in my drama club we had a conversation about sexuality and such in the auditorium when we weren't on stage. Probably should've come out then but I didn't. And I may have kinda come out to a friend?? We were ranting about the dress code and she goes "I mean, I like girls, but I'm not gonna be 'distracted' if one wears a cold-shoulder top' and I was like 'EXACTLY!!!'

@Spider-man

My school practically doesn’t have a dress code. Like they just don’t care. I expected to like not be able to wear anything but my first day I see girls in like practically nothing. So like yea now I’m don’t care. We had uniforms from elementary to middle school so I was not used to this freedom
