Zoning out at a party and returning to everyone 10x as drunk and you still working on your first drink.

Yep this is so relatable
Sometimes I’ll be at a party for my overly Catholic homeschool group, just chilling in a corner eating my cookie, while everyone else starts dancing, making sure to stay 5 feet apart from each other at all times (have to make room for the Holy Spirit). When suddenly, as my friends start talking about some kids show I don’t watch, I’ll zone out for a moment only to reappear and find all the fruit punch is gone and everyone’s on a freaking sugar high and blasting the Macarena at full volume with the lights off while I’m still eating chocolate-chip-coconut-pretzel-cookie number one.

Super relatable.

Alternatively, zoning out whole reading, going through a whole page or so without actually reading anything and having to start over.

oh gosh I know this feeling

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

Sooo, It’s officially taken me, uhhh… 3 hours, 46 minutes, and 29 seconds to do something the average person could do in an hour.
I wasn’t even that distracted…

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

Actually, considering how I used the worst, slowest possible method, it could take someone 20 minutes if they just used their brains.

…Drawing is dumb. Why do I even bother.

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

It is fun, it really is, but I’ve been drawing so much lately and not making any progress, it’s starting to get extremely demotivating…

And I still have more I need to get done today. dies in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

Oh…I like to draw, but most of the time, I can’t think of anything.

That’s what usually happens to me, too. I run out of ideas so quickly that I’ll often go months without drawing anything.
However, I’ve made it a tradition that every June, I’ll do my 30 Day Art Style ChallengeTM where every day, I draw the same character in a different art style. It’s actually not too difficult, and this year’s especially is going very well. The problem is, I’m also trying to finish another project at the exact same time, while practicing my animation skills, and often times I’ll get caught up in one of those projects, only to forget about the style challenge, only to get caught up with that while another project gets left behind…
It’s a mess. I’m a mess. I need a break, but I don’t have anything else to do even if I did take a break, so I’m just going to keep juggling everything until I completely burn myself out.

@The-N-U-T-Cracker

I know that’s a bad idea but it’s better and more productive to draw excessively all day than to sit around watching YouTube all day, so I’m going with it.
