Killing an innocent to save another single person is not good…
Killing someone who is endangering another person's life (trying to kill them/physically harm them) is not great, but more acceptable…
Sacrificing one to save many? Hard to say… my personal code says it's okay, but in the perspective of the moral code I just explained, I'm not so sure.

Now that one I know is very wrong. But I also know I would probably do it myself.

I get it…

I think it goes like this… Good is determined both by you yourself, and the majority of humans… You don't think rape is good, and neither do the majority of humans, myself included… So rape is evil… It's that simple…

But remember what I said.
I'll ask you a question if all humanity thought rape was okay, (except for the victims) would it be?

It very well used to be that way… In certain Nordic cultures where warriors took slaves of war as wives… Men were judged on how many "wives" they had… These wives did not consent and were often well… But nonetheless it was seen as "good" or "admirable" in ways… If humanity as a whole were somehow like this… Then, yes, it would be… And that makes me want to take a cold shower…

So you would rather believe that there is no actual object morality. That is a pretty scary thing to think.

It is very scary… That's why I live by my own code of trying to learn as much as I can and lessen the suffering of others…

I'm sorry… Don't mind me… I've just lost faith in most of humanity…

@Shuri-the-Floof-Doggo

What do you believe, religiously?

I think there might be a Higher Power… The chance that everything had to happen just right for life to be created is infinitismal… So… You know… But I'm not religious like that…

@Becfromthedead group

This conversation is really intriguing to me… We just finished talking about the development of moral reasoning in my psychology class, so it's all becoming very apparent and real here.

@Becfromthedead group

Goodness, I just realized how much of a black sheep I am… Sorry guys!

All the stuff you said? I'm kind of on the same boat.

What stuff?

Little faith in humanity, plus the whole religion thing and living by your own moral code and trying to be good to others.
