Like, some people do say "barbie" but it's annoying hearing someone else say it
Yup. Also happened in this one book I read about the Vietnam War. Idk which thread I brought it up in, but I've definitely mentioned this before. The MC got shot in the butt, and the medic was a new guy and froze up in the middle of action, then forgot to treat for shock and overall did a terrible job, then the MC got gangrene, but had no lasting effects from the injury. He just couldn't sit right for a while.
Oof it was this thread I just didn't read the previous posts….sorry!!
I feel like anyone trying to imitate an accent is always annoying cause they over exaggerated stuff so much

Night Jyn!
Yeah. Not to pat my own back, but I can do a pretty decent 'Daisy Ridley' accent.
And Hux as well
I can fake accents quite well without sounding like a total dolt
Is it weird that I go from not really southern to noticeable southern accent when I'm around other groups of people with accents? (And also when I'm angry lol)
No
One of my Chinese friends pull off an impressive American accent when angry
My friend was born and raised in Georgia until she was like 6, and some days she just has a super string Southern accent for no reason at all besides it being like 'engrained' into her.
Wow
Listen, Georgia just does that to you. The accents here drive me insane some days. My own family drives me insane.
Same
My mom is Chinese, lives in Australia but has a very annoying American accent
Okay, but there’s like the sweet southern accent, and then there’s the one that sounds borderline uneducated. I’m from a bigger city, so I was raised around people without southern accents. Heck, my best friend even has a German accent (which is really interesting because she was born in the US and doesn’t speak German. Her mom was from Germany though). Guess it kind of has to do with who teaches you to speak.
Yep
And they do wear off quite quickly
I have an Irish friend who left Ireland three years ago and her accent is barely detectable
Wild. My friend is an adult, and she’s always had this accent. It’s very slight, but it sure is there. But I knew this other guy from Australia who had something of an accent, but he’d been in the US so long it had started to fade and you could only tell on specific words.
Yep
I don't think I have much of an accent, but I have the Midwestern 'overholds Rs' thing.
sidles in
A fifteen pound punch to the collarbone can break it.
…
Thank you for the subject change
But the collarbone is actually a really sensitive place to hit
Seriously, never break a fall with your hands if you have the option not to. My sister's friend fell off her bike and broke her hand and her wrist on opposite arms. She ended up out of commission for a majority of the summer, and couldn't play volleyball for school this year.
Yea I know! My friend told me n I was like wow i didn’t know that.
Also i know a ridiculous amount of facts about the difference of Psycho and Sociopaths.
Yes
Rolling is actually a much better option
You're gonna hate the answer to this, but the butt.
How would one treat this? i'm assuming you'd go to the ER, and not be able to sit or walk for a few days, but like…what else? (I'm sorry I have no hecking clue how to treat an injury above a paper cup.)
