'Ello. In Sweden we celebrate this thing called 'Midsommarafton' (directly translated to… 'middle-of-summer evening' or possibly 'midsummer solstice'?). That would be tomorrow (or today for me). I just wondered… do ya'll over in America celebrate that? If not, is there any similar tradition? I'm curious.

In the Wiccan/Pagan religions, there are giant celebrations for all the solstices and equinoxes, and little celebrations every full moon. Say, a night out with friends, or a sleepover, etc. But for the solstices…whooooo it gets big. I'm excited, Litha is coming up! It's the summer solstice and there'll be a festival a couple towns away. Yule is the winter solstice, and Mabon and Ostara are the autumn and spring equnioxes. There are also weird little days around the wheel of the year, like Samhain on Oct. 31, Imbloc on Feb. 1, Beltane on May 1, and Lughnasadn on August 1st.

I don't really think of anything when I hear Ohio, I guess I haven't heard any stereotypes or been there or anything really…

We're pretty lucky to get pretty good (comparatively) weather in my town so beyond doing flood and tornado relief, I don't really see much of the really bad weather. Which I think Indiana gets more of overall but idrk
