I have not shot a real gun, but I've shot an airsoft gun.

I shot a pigeon off of a bard roof once. With a homemade bow and a very curved tumble weed stalk. I shot it straight up and it curved in the air to hit the pigeon in the chest perfectly and send in sliding squawking off the roof.
