Tell me everything… Characters.. Plot… Fun facts… Worldbuilding… Etc.
I'll share mine later!
My story is called inHuman…
I don't want to say much about the story since I've changed it so much, but here's a summary:
It is the future, technology has progressed more and more. A man who goes by S creates prosthetic arms and legs which he dubs "cyborg armor". Unlike normal prosthetic arms and legs, cyborg armor has more movement options, higher durability, and can be used for fighting. The armor quickly rose in popularity, with its simplistic design and mechanisms making easy it to customize. S quickly disappeared, with about 8% of the earth's population becoming cyborgs. It even became popular for cyborgs to fight in competitions in order to show off their skill and armor. However, a new threat emerged, The Masked Council. A group of Masked men and women, all of whom possessing a unique set of cyborg armor, seeking shards of a strange, almost alien mineral some have called the "grand diamond". To counter this, organizations across the world have gathered large groups of cyborgs and non-cyborgs to find the grand diamond shards and thwart off the Masked Council. Two cyborgs, in particular, have risen in popularity due to their heroic efforts. Lily, who possesses cyborg armor that can create waves of electricity, and Nate, who possesses armor that can create blades from each of his fists. The two main protagonists team up, fighting evil while dealing with heartbreak, grief, and a wide palette of emotions.
Nice, that sounds awesome! I have a side-story sort of like thst!!!
But it's just one guy.
Can I hear the side-story?
Well, it's about a war hero who gets his arm mangled in an accident, saving a person's life, and he is selected to get a prosthetic arm, and cybernetic enhancements to act as a sort of vigilante and symbol for the USA, but he finds out about a scandal. The company he's been in, is using him as a prototype to create more. Specifically an army of cyber-soldiers, and sell it to the highest bidder, who happens to be a shady international crime kingpin. But they don't seem to care, and he rebels.
The arm has a ton of cool features.
-The fingers can have solidified has which can be sprayedvaporized via exposure to the air, these gasses include smoke, nerve gas, mustard gas, and tactical combustion gas. They can also be interchanged with retractable and extendable everyday tools.
-The wrist has the ability to launch needles, some are serrated, some are bladelike, some can be detonated by pressing a button.
-It has a miniature missile launcher in the elbow.
-It has a machine gun behind the hsnd, in a wrist.
-There's a condensed stun gun in the palm, which electrocutes on touch if he wants.
-The knuckles can extend or retract, to form a knucklebuster.
-The bottom part of the wrist has a switch on/off blade!
-There is an EMP in the shoulder, luckily the chip that controls the device is in a Faraday cage so as to be immune.
-On top of all this, the arm is superhuman in strength, virtually limitless in stamina, has bulletproof armor, and has peak human agility and speed.
I've got a tv series I'm working on, and a loose book idea… which one you want first? Just so you know, I'm terrible at summaries.
The book series! And trust me it's fine.
I've got a couple that I'm sort of working on. The one that I'm focussing on the most is about a guy in high school whose classmate has gone missing, and no one really knows how or why (which happens about a month before the start of the story). The main character was there on the night she went missing, but he can't remember anything that happened that night.
At the beginning of the story though, he finds out that he can read minds and so can his missing classmate. Shortly after that, he actually witnesses his missing classmate getting murdered on his way back from a party. He's pretty quick to figure out that the mind reading thing and the disappearance/death of his classmate are somehow related. So the story is pretty much the main character, and two other mind reading side characters that are wrapped up in this mess, trying to piece together everything that's happened so that they can 1) figure out what really happened on the night that MCs classmate went missing, and 2) figure out how they got their powers.
Ughhh I just thought of mind today and its not thought through is that ok?
K. So I have this concept of a future earth where a second ice age happened and humanity (and several other fantasy races) take asylum underground in a regulated environment where everything is tech reliant. So, the general plot was years later, a reconnoissance team is sent to the surface to check conditions, and didn't return.
The protagonist is a gal called Ariana Artem and her sister Auriel was part of the team. One night her vision goes black with a simple message typed across. "This world isn't what it seems". The next day, she wakes up and it's like a filter was removed. (The place has a general cyberpunk vibe that is implemented by a cybernetic implant in the eye) She finds out she's not the only one, and she and some friends and strangers (all of whom are connected to the missing team) start to investigate and start finding out that things are more controlled then they seem and the recon team might be out there alive. They decide they're going to try and go find the recon team. The governing body gets wind of their investigation and sends 'Burners' (Genetically enhanced beings) to track them down and deal with them. They try to make a run for it, fleeing to the outer city limits and are cornered by the Burners, most of the people with Ariana are killed, and left for dead. Ariana passes out, sure she's dying. She regains consciousness to find she's in what looks like a run down generator room. Her sister Auriel is there too. After an emotional reunion, Auriel explains that they had been sent the surface and had found that conditions were now favorable for habitation. They returned to make their report but were taken into custody with no explanation. They were scheduled for a 're-conditioning' when the power went out and they were rescued by a strange being that went by the name Mystique (dramatic, I know). Mystique takes them to an abandoned place (Haven't decided what kind of place yet) and explains to them that the world they have lived in is practically the plaything of the supercomputer known by few as the Ordinateur. the population is controlled by it and it has malfunctioned to the point where it wants to keep humanity (and other) under it's thumb forever (I'm still working the fine points out because this is just a bit too matrixy for me.)
That's what I've got in detail so far, the rest of the plot involve Ariana and Auriel with the team of recon people and the remaining people from Ariana's group working together as 'no-cybers' (People with their cybernetic implants removed) to take down the supercomputer and relocate humanity (and other races) to the surface where they belong. Along the way they find out that Mystique is the original creator (the renowned Juno Moare) who uploaded herself into a robotic avatar, deciding to link herself to the supercomputer.
(That was very long. Sorry if this story doesn't make any sense.)
It's fine. It seems cool!
Thx!
How do you people think this far?!??
A lot of brainstorming and questions…..
IN ONE DAY!?!?!?
No, over a string of weeks.
It's easy. I can do one story sec in a day or I chose to, I'm just lazy.
……………………………..Looks at story currently writing. I should problably throw this away.
Hey, you're fine!
(High fives Shuriken)
Well, what've you got so far? It might not be as bad as you think.
Uhhhh well its about a abused child. She acidently opens a portal (Which is a mirror.) Into a world where everything is opposite. Yeah I didn't actually think i would get this far.
That's good! A little is better then none!
Hey, never give up on your dreams!
That was the exact thing I said when I wanted to be a unicorn…………it never came true though….
