I was really hesitant about it at first, but I was at a friend's house and we made outfits for each other using clothes from each of our closets, and she picked out a cute crop top hoodie for me, and we went out in public. I was actually pretty surprised at how cute it made me feel, and I ended up buying something similar later. I happen to like my body for how it is, and honestly there's no reason I shouldn't be able to show it. (Although low-cut necklines and certain swimsuits are a hard no from me. Definitely not my thing, although some people look absolutely fabulous in those.)

I can't stand immodest clothing. While I don't care if other people wear it, it just feels… Wrong. And it's not because I'm not confident in my own body, I love myself a lot but when things show more skin, it doesn't make me feel confident, it makes me feel worse about myself and suddenly, all those insecurities I thought were lost forever pile up on top of me. I feel more beautiful when my skin is covered, which is why shopping for summer clothes is an absolute pain because I want to dress cute, but the only things that fit my body type are crop-tops, sleeveless shirts and those excessively short shorts that barely cover your underwear. So I wear the same three pink t-shirts every day with some skinny jeans and just deal with it.

I definitely have a boundary when it comes to summer clothes. I don't wear the super short shorts and since my chest is flatter than a little boys it really puts a limit on what I can wear for tops. And swimsuits are a whole different matter, I have certain criteria for them too..

Ooft… having short and thick legs so shorts don't always fit very well… uhhh swimsuits. For me, it's the legs. I'm fine to a certain extent, but I only want people to see so much leg (which is why I wear swim shorts!)

The lack of anything chestwise is what causes the most trouble for me, though I can say that other than the super short shorts I do have a wide selection of bottoms since my legs are longer and slender

Summer is my favorite too because when I do find good stuff, it's the best stuff ever, but usually, we have to get through aisles and aisles of booty shorts and crop tops to find something that I actually feel comfortable in.
