@Paperok
What is your favorite book?
What is your favorite book?
For fiction, I'm always going back to The Year's Best Science Fiction, specifically the fourteenth edition but I love all of them. For nonfiction, it's a hard tie between Llewellyn's Complete Book of Names and The Dictionary of Slang. ^^;
Honestly, The Shining
I HAVE FAR TOO MANY
These aren't my favorites of all time, but I am currently obsessed with: The Queen's Thief series, The Howl's Moving Castle series, and The Count of Monte Cristo (unabridged).
probably one of the books from the lunar chronicles. they are sooo good!
@Masterkey I love The Count of Monte Crito too! I'm going to be rereading it soon.
I would have to say that my top three choices of favorite books ever would be The One or the siren by Kierra Cass as my first, the Mark of Athena by Rick Riodan, and the Cruel Prince (I forgot the authors name for this one)
I can't chose a fantasy one, because I love so many. But, I do love The Great Gatsby.
the mark of Athena is one of my favorites too! I just finished re-reading it
@JillyB high five
revolution by jennifer donnelly
(but also pretty much anything by v.e. schwab)
@Cami I read that book last year! I loved it… I gave it to my cousin so that she could read it and I haven't gotten it back yet.
Ranger's Apprentice series was pretty great
I don't know about you nerds but for fiction… LITERALLY ANYTHING J.R.R.Tolkein wrote anything from the forgotten tales to his letters to his son, or even the simallarion.
And for nonfiction, the offical Sarcasm society Dictionary of sarcasm.
Jeez, where to start…
My all time favorite series is gonna have to be the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini, but I also LOVE the Harry Potter books, the Percy Jackson series, and Fablehaven by Brandon Mull.
Lord of the rings trilogy, hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, any book written by a depressed drunk white dude from the 1920s-50s (i.e. a farewell to arms, great Gatsby, etc), to kill a mockingbird…ugh I have too many…
I have this book on mythology by Roger Green that I simply adore.
Scarlet, Cress, Winter, Catching Fire, Almost Home, Turtle In Paradise, Roller Girl, Smile, Divergent, The False Prince, Leia: Princess Of Alderaan, the outsiders, Prisoner of Azkaban, Penny From Heaven, The Last Olympian, Jacky Ha-Ha, Caroline books by Kathleen Ernst
I adore just about anything by Jerry Spinelli (though surprisingly NOT Stargirl) but loser has to be my favorite
(I also LOVE Scott Westerfeld especially the Leviathan trilogy and Rick Riodian books)
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, The Chamber by John Grisham, or the Skulduggery Pleasant series. Those are my current obsessions (not favorites… I can never pick favorites)
Oh, this is a hard question. The Mara Dyer series by Michelle Hodkin, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, Daughters of Time by Mary Hoffman (and loads of other women), The Path of Names by Ari B. Goelman (simply stunning book. I don't even know why I love it so much) and finally Le Pays Qui Te Ressemble by Fabrice Colin are a few of the favourites.
this is so hard. probably the titans curse, the house of hades, the ship of the dead, the bane chronicles, the hunger games, the london eye mystery, the maze runner and cosmic. and probably more, but i cant think of any right now. ive read too many to pick one
honestly i feel like asking a reader to give away a book or choose a favourite is like asking a mother to do that to her children. people say that you aren't a real reader if you write on books, dog ear them, etc, but you cant tell a mother how to raise her kids. you cant tell a reader how to read. we leave our mark on books, and books leave their mark on us
I can pick favorites and hate some no problem tho
i guess
but ya know what i mean
:P
