Good morning y'all. For me, I always either pack the perfect amount of clothes or too much. I think about how many days I'm staying, then I bring one pair of clothes for each day. I also bring an extra shirt and pants, then bam the perfect amount of clothes.
But if it's more than 4 days…..

@ninja_violinist

I do have the book issue too. I think most if not all of the trips I've taken this year involved me taking a book I didn't even open.
Better too many than too few, I guess

When there is nothing happening in this thread either………

Oh, yes. I always think that I should bring a bunch of books, but then I have other stuff to do all the time so I never actually read them. I always have a book in my handbag though, just in case…

Thinking abt it, I actually havent read a good book in a while. I spent all day at the library (my natural habitat) the other day, went through A TON of books, and I wasn't interested in any. I crave a good story, but CAN'T FIND ANY DANGIT.

Have you read "Love, Simon" by Becky Albertalli? It's one of my favorite books ever…

What genre is your favourite??

@IHaveADamProblem no, I havent. Maybe I'll find it

@Starlight-Wolf I love sci-fi, realistic fiction, straight up fiction, but heavy fantasy isn't rly my thing (unless it has REALLY good character development, then I can read it)

Oh and mystery, but not just boring crime mystery (not that all crime mystery is boring, but sometimes it's very cliche).

Fantasy, some sci-fi… but mostly romance stuff. I mean, I live for romantic floof…

I don't really do romance… but I do do fantasy!

S A M E ! I love romance, so much. Are there any romance books you would recommend??
I recently got into a mystery series called Confessions Of A Murder Suspect, well that's what the first book is called anyway, and I LOVE it. I would definitely recommend it to almost anyone actually.

Wait, can someone explain why romance stories are so appealing to you guys? (Lol just a confused demi over here, ha). I'm curious.

Deleted user

Tbh I really don't know why I like romance stories…

It's just the feeling you get when you're reading them, I think. Like, the way you just kinda have to put down the book and smile like crazy for a minute when it goes well for the characters. And also… reading is like escaping to another world. And I'm a hopeless romantic. So it goes well with my personality. Lol I'm gonna be a bit deep here, but there is a certain beauty in the concept of love, whichever kind of love it is. And if I can't experience that myself, then I can at least read about it. Not all romantic stories are good though. Some are just made for the basic "boy meets girl they have zero personal chemistry but hey they are together now and that's that" story. Those are pretty boring, I think. The best ones are the ones were the author makes the reader recognize themselves in the story and where the characters almost feels like a friend who you just wants to be happy, ya know?

That was perfect!! I kinda feel the same, I'm just not the best with putting stuff into words sometimes.

Oh, yes.

Love, Simon - Becky Albertalli (gay floof and the struggles in the life of a teenager)
Will Grayson, Will Grayson - John Green & David Levithan (also gay, but with a bunch of depression to go with it)
Heartless - Marissa Meyer (The story of how the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland became who she was. Saddest lovestory ever. Almost.)
Anything by John Green, really. But they are all really sad, so expect tears.
Anything by Sarah Dessen.
Fangirl - Rainbow Rowell (not entirely romance but still really good)
To all the boys I've loved before - Jenny Han (the title says it all. And it's a movie too!)
Shatter me series - Tahereh Mafi (fantasy and romance and omg so good)
The Selection - Kiera Cass (royalty and a prince charming and love all the way through, it's a series)

Want me to keep going? XD
