Felix quickly grabbed his knife as he heard the sound. ”What the hell?” He wispered to Jae. Felix took the lead and quietly walked in the direction in which the sound had been heard, completely on his guard and observing every single moving shadow on the wall as he moved closer.
Finn hid behind a fallen file cabinet when he saw a figure leave a room. He must have twisted his ankle when he fell. There was no way he'd be able to use his powers if he was caught. He held his breath and stayed completely still.
Jae stood quietly, watching Felix leave the room knife in hand. I guess he's had that the whole time. he thought thankful that he wasn't dead right now. He quietly followed after Felix, standing silently out in the hall.
Felix felt Jae’s presence behind him as he kept on walking. He made sure to keep an eye on him as well, but focused on the sound. He flicked open another blade on the armyknife as he walked. The knives were small, but pretty damn sharp too.
Jae stayed where he was just outside the room, watching Felix as he got closer to the source of the sound.
Felix stopped as he reached the place that the sound seemed to come from. He couldn’t see anything, yet. He gripped his knife tighter as he took a couple of steps around to secure the area. It seemed fine. As he was about to turn around and walk back to Jae, he saw a foot sticking out from behind a cabinet. He smirked bitterly as he walked around it. ”Well. What do we have here, now?” He looked down at a boy, about his age. He even looked a bit like him.
Finn brought his hands up to show he was unarmed. He sat up straight cornered between the wall and cabinet. “Nothing I’m just trying to get out of here. Seeing as your not a guard I’m guessing you want to same things,” He said talking kinda fast.
Felix looked at the boy. ”May be true. But why are you hiding from me. And don’t tell me that you thought I was a guard, cause I can see on your face that you had already seen us.” He kept his knife out, but started spinning it around his fingers. He didn’t really feel like this boy was a threath either. No one was a threath if you acted crazy enough, he thought.
Finn rolled his eyes. “Same reason you pointed a knife to me. Some people are freaking crazy man. You can’t trust anyone,” he mumbled the last part and slowly stood up.
Felix smiled a bit. ”I like your style, dude. What’s your name?”
“Finn,” he said once he was standing up. “You?”
”Call me Felix.” He put the knife away, but he was ready to flick it open in seconds of needed.
Finn nodded and started walking but he had to hold on to the cabinet for support.
”You injured or something?” Felix noticed the heavy limp as Finn tried to walk.
“It’s fine I think I twisted my ankle. I’ve walked on worse,” he reassured smiling slightly.
”You want some help?” Felix raised an eyebrow in doubt. Finn really didn’t look like he could walk a meter on his own right now.
“Nah I’m fine,” he said his smile strained.
”Okay. If you say so.” He looked back to see if Jae had been following him. ”Look, my…” He wasn’t sure of what to call Jae. Friend? Companion? Enemy? He decided to change the entire sentence instead. ”There’s another guy waiting over there. We should go back to him. He might have something for that ankle of yours, and either way we are trying to get out of here. The exit is that way.” He pointed in the direction in which he had comed from.
“Thanks,” he said limping to were he pointed. It hurt but he could still do it.
Felix walked slowly next to him, hands in his pockets. ”So… why are you here?”
”the normal. They went around offering money I needed money so I came here. Of course, I didn't know what the hell I was getting into, ” he muttered the last part.
Jae walked the rest of the way over to the 2 boys. "Not looking to harm us I assume?" He questioned, guessing since Felix hadn't killed him.
”nope just trying to get outa here, ” he assured still holding on to his strained smile.
"Oh, alright then." He answered, still wary of both of them.
