"You're scared."
"You're scared."
Firiko huffed, "Am not" he said, knowing it was partly true.
"Why are you? He's harmless. Relative to the other people in the room."
"I told you I'm not afraid of anyone here" Firiko lied, "Excepting maybe Damian." he added.
He shook his head, sighing. "You're lying to the wrong person, man. I can feel it, you know."
Firiko gave him a hard look.
Damian sighed speaking up, "Both of us can sense his dark aura, and we've had some nasty experience with the owners of dark auras. Particularly Firiko."
"Seems unfair to judge someone solely on that. Dude's dating an angel, how bad can he be?"
"unfortunately for him the last guy we met who had dark auras, we gave him the benifit of a doubt…. and…" Firiko's wings curled around him, hiding tears.
Calix leaned over the counter and whispered something to Vasilios. He nodded then walked to a door near the back of the room. Then Calix grabbed the rest of the boxes and put them on the bar to go through them.
Damian used his shadows to warp up to the rafters, giving his cousin a comforting squeeze.
He rubbed his nose, going back to his Coke in frustration. Great. Now you just made someone cry.
Firiko soon pushed him away, "I- I just need a minute" he glided down, shifting to head outside.
(Hello :3)
The rather large, white wolf outside waited for the man leaving the building to pass by them, then slowly pushed the tavern doors opened, poking her head in and scanning the big room with icy blue eyes. She walked in, glancing at a few of the patrons, then stopped when she realized she had walked in alone. She huffed and walked back out, then came right back a moment later, this time nudging a short, brown-haired girl along. The girl make a quiet, protesting sound and kept her gaze from everyone as they made their way to the emptier side of the room. The wolf sat against the wall, slumping down and laying one paw over the other as the girl sat right next to her and nervously whispered something to the large animal.
Damian stared as he saw the huge white wolf come in with the girl. are they…. what I think they are??
Calix looked up for a second but then went back to finishing up with the boxes. The last few had stuff like more glasses, towels, plates, and napkins.
Damian warped back down to a back corner. His eyes never left the wolf and the girl. ive never seen a wolf like that… is she a Blizzaron? Or a Tsunami?
The wolf nuzzled the girl's hair, making a noise in her throat. "This was a bad idea. W-when you said we had the day off, I didn't think you'd take me outside of the forest. Let alone to a tavern." The girl said. "Stop worrying, child. We're fine." The wolf huffed again, her low voice translating to words in the girl's ears. "We are not fine, Tsuna. What if there are hunters here?"
"Then we'll fight."
"And expose ourselves? You're already an abnormally large wolf, even for a world where it's normal."
"Then we'll run. Look, this is supposed to help you get over this little fear you have and maybe even get you to make some non-animal friends. Just relax, okay? Please?"
The girl crossed her arms over her chest and scooted further against the wall. "I refuse to relax until we're back in the forest, Tsunami. Change my mind."
The wolf rolled her eyes. "By the Stars, Riverpaw." She sighed, resting her head on her paws as she looked around the room again.
He rubbed his nose, confused but not really interested.
Enderstorm (a pale sixteen year old with silver hair and purple eyes) looked curiously at the other girl, wiping the last traces of bright blue blood from her eyes.
Tsunami's nose twitched as she sniffed the air absentmindedly, then lifted her head a bit. "More shifters…" Riverpaw looked up at her with a quiet, curious noise. "I won't tell you who, but they're in here."
Enderstorm calmly walks over to Riverpaw, holding an unnaturally white hand out. Realizing it was still somewhat covered in her own blue blood, she grimaces and wipes it off on her black dress.
“My name is Empress Enderstorm. What is yours?” She asks, smiling hospitably. Foxchild shifts into his fox form and sniffs at the wolf suspiciously.
"Hello." Tsunami bowed her head courtly at the fox as Riverpaw silently pressed herself closer to the wall and Tsunami. The wolf huffed and tried to nudge her back. "Don't be rude, child. Formalities are no different here than in the forest." Riverpaw pulled her shoulders up for a moment. "R-Riverpaw.." She mumbled. Tsunami nudged her head a bit harder, so the girl sighed and moved a bit away from her. "My name is Riverpaw." She said, though just as quietly as before.
Enderstorm smiles, trying to show that she was no threat.
“Hello, Riverpaw. This is Foxchild.” Enderstorm points to the fox, and he dips is head in greeting, unable to speak in fox form.
Damian kept one eye on the exchange, still trying to puzzle out what the pair were. Sighing he glanced up at his brooding cousin.
Riverpaw nodded to them. "N-nice to meet you both. O-oh, um, this is my guardian, Tsunami." She patted the wolf's head, and Tsunami nodded at Enderstorm as well.
