“If I’m supposed to fight this thing, I need magic. This is my only way of using magic.”
“If I’m supposed to fight this thing, I need magic. This is my only way of using magic.”
(Hello?)
"I think you could come up now. And if you really want to fight it I have my angelic blade." Calix replied down the stairs.
"You could also try siphoning power off of me." Said Firiko.
“I don’t want to kill you, also you aren’t made of magic so it probably wouldn’t work, but thanks anyway,” she replied to Firiko as she quickly climbed back up the stairs, grabbing Calix’s weapon as he offers it.
Calix gave over the weapon quickly. "Have fun down there. Call if you need help."
Serenade takes a deep breath, and attempts to move her wings, but they only twitch.
“Oh come on. Useless magical appendages,” she whispers under her breath, before walking back down, her wings trailing limply behind her.
Firiko sighed, "I might not be made of magic but my auras are stronger than you think…"
“Magic is life essence used to warp reality. Is that how your magic works? Because if not, then I can’t siphon it.”
"I have chaos aura that warps reality." He concentrated and summoned a wild violet aura. Violet appearing in his wings as he did so.
"yeah. Honestly I have no idea how my power works. Just putting that out there." Calix said out if nowhere.
(I think we can have this monster jump out at Serenade now.)
(yeah)
(Well then go, continue the story.)
"yeah. Honestly I have no idea how my power works. Just putting that out there." Calix said out if nowhere.
Tsunami led Riverpaw over to the group near the door, lifting the girl so they could both see into the space. She nudged the back of Calix's head with her nose and huffed.
Riverpaw spoke quietly from the wolf's back. "Uh, w-we were listening from over there, a-and, um…why did you send the winged lady down there by herself?"
Calix turned and looked at her "I sent her down there because we are all pretty stupid and we're play a game of truth or dare. I decided something stupid and she is going through with it."
Riverpaw opened her mouth to respond, but then closed it again and tilted her head curiously. Tsunami scoffed. "Morons."
Calix went over to the bar and got a drink then walked back to the others at the stairwell. "Should we go down?"
Tsunami took a step forward, but Riverpaw tugged the fur of her scruff to stop her. Tsunami craned her head back to glare and growl lowly at the girl, who was shaking her head furiously. Tsunami seeded to smirk, then nodded at Calix. Riverpaw whined, but translated anyway. "She says we'll go."
"Alright, I could go down with you guys. If you want back up." Calix said to her, he saw her hesitation.
Tsunami shook her head. "No need. We can handle ourselves." She said, and Riverpaw winced. "W-we can? But t-there's a monster down there, Tsuna." The wolf huffed. "You're a Forest Guardian, child, you train to fight dangerous creatures." When she started moving towards the door, Riverpaw turned back to Calix and made a frantic motion for him to follow.
Calix smiled then followed then down. He was ready for any potential attacks.
Riverpaw had left her bow and quiver at the table she and Tsunami were using, but she had a dagger that she was rather good at using, and if things got too bad, she could always shift down and run. Tsunami carefully made her way down the staircase, with Riverpaw pressing her body to the wolf's back and trying to search the darkness for movement.
Calix walked slowly down the stairs. Cautious of what laid in the dark. He had given up his weapon. But he could probably use some angelic magic
