“Ah. Speak of the devil. A human.”
Arkturus enunciated the last word poignantly, as if he were talking about a parasitic insect. The teal smoke from his mask grew a bit brighter in color than usual as it flowed out of the lenses. It accumulated around him, making him seem more intimidating than usual.
Ahlura, who had remained still and silent, whirled around to see the human Arkturus had mentioned. Her eyes narrowed into a stern glare, but she otherwise remained composed.
“And who would this one be? Another troublemaker?”she hissed.
“It is here, is it not? That is trouble enough as it is. This is a private hall, only authorized for the rulers of the kingdoms. Ergo… you have been asked to leave. This will be your only warning.”
A rather large puff of smoke hissed from the seams of his mask. Arkturus was very clearly annoyed. He was already frustrated about the situation, and now there was a human in the meeting hall.
(Ooo, poignantly. I like your vocabulary.)
"Now, now," King Trench told Arkturus, "let's settle this peacefully." Coral seemed annoyed by her dad's suggestion. "Peacefully," she asked her dad in a very stern and miffed tone, "has peace got us anywhere?!" As she spoke, the sounds of lightning and rain could be heard outside. It had not been storming before, but something had set it off.
"what did this human do?" Syfin asked, having only made one comment the entire meeting so far, he decided to actually speak. "I don't see it doing any harm…right now". He tilted his head to the side and looked at the human tentatively, wondering if it was dangerous or if everyone was being paranoid.
Necrolai raised an eyebrow. "Well? Do you have anything to say human? Maybe about how you got in here?" She snapped.
((since no one else is replying, i guess I will))
Necrolay stood from her spot next to Arkturus, her eyes dark with anger and a little fear. She wasn't afraid of this particular hum, but if this one could get in so easily, maybe others could. Others that wish to destroy her, and everyone around her. "I asked you a question, human." Necrolai hummed, "You shall answer it… or rot where you stand." Necrolai stepped closer to the human, glaring down as the train of her dress dragged behind her.
"i-i.. i-i forgot h-how i got here…." shaking in fear
Necrolai raised an eyebrow and scoffed. She was trying to intimidate the intruder, they could be a danger to all of them. "You forgot. Tell me, human, how do you forget something that happened ten seconds ago? If you can not give us how and why you are here, then you must be prepared to face the consequences."
"I-I Have t-trouble remembering"trys to walk back slowly
Necrolai surged forward and gripped their arm, stopping them from leaving. She smiled menacingly. "Well, isn't that a pity." She felt her nails against the humans skin and saw pinpricks of blood appear. "I suppose that means there's only one thing to do with you, isn't there? Unless you suddenly are able to remember something?"
Syfin looked at them confused, "why are you being so aggressive?"
Ahlura, who had been watching in silence the entire time, looks at Syfin then Necrolai.
“Indeed, why? This human has not shown hostility. If we show hostility, we are only making things worse.”
"Pls s-stop it hurts"said in a worried tone
Necrolai turned her head to look at them, an eyebrow raised in shock. "Yes, the human has shown no ill will, but they could be a spy for all we know! And even if they are not, if one human can get in, more can. And those may be hostile, they may aim to kill. I am merely trying to protect the lives of those here! If you all have a better way of getting information, then be my guest." She released the human and stepped back, waiting for someone else to take charge.
Ahlura stood, waving Necrolai away.
“Oftentimes violence begets violence. Being hostile to this one could bring chaos and war to us all,”she said.
Ahlura bent down, gently grabbing the human by the shoulders, wanting to keep them still but also to offer comfort.
“I will not hurt you, young one, if you give me no reason to. Why are you here? Do you remember what way you used to get here?”she gently asked.
'i-i have no weapons on me at all'
(i need help in school because in getting bulled and i need tips )

Necrolai rolled her eyes at the human's response, but didn't vocalize her thoughts. That's not what she asked, so why is the human avoiding the question?
'i-i forgot how i got here and i just got interested of t-this place'
Ahlura sighed.
“Why were you not in your home? Are you a nomad? An explorer?”Ahlura asked.
She suspected she would have to keep her questions simple and slow, to avoid overwhelming the poor human even more than they already were.
