Ahlura gently hummed as she meditated. The hollow tone of her humming echoed through the vast crystalline chamber, and her fellow monks joined in until the room vibrated with their song.
For a long while, they meditated. As dusk fell, Ahlura’s lingering unease finally subsided. Something nagged at her in the back of her mind, but she knew not what it was. This concerned her.
As she pondered what this troubling thing could be, she couldn’t help thinking of the upcoming meeting. She was not fond of these meetings, but knew they were necessary. The feeling returned.
Something was going to happen. This next meeting held the air of an omen, even of catastrophe. Ahlura didn’t like it one bit. She knew trouble was coming, but how?
She stood and headed for her chambers in the top of the palace, moving with purpose. When she arrived, she noted down her thoughts and questions, then moved out onto the balcony. She saw her glorious work before her, the grand forests of crystal stretching to the horizons, but she worried that something would come to tear them down. Why?
(grabs bread and eats it* :T )
((sorry! had an essay and forgot to come post!))
Necrolai lifted her head to look at the door. "Yeah! Let me mark my page." Putting the book away, she gathered her things and opened the door, smiling at Arkturus on the other side. "How do I look?" She asked, smiling brightly.
“You look like you, which is exactly how you need to look, kid.”
Arkturus wasn’t very good at complements, but he tried.
Necrolai laughed, used to this type of answer. "Perfect." She stepped out of the study, closing the door behind her. "So, can you tell me what this is about? Or are we still keeping secrets?" Necrolai joked lightly, smoothing her black satin skirt down and readjusting the dark green corset she was wearing.
He chuckled, which caused some extra smoke to flow from the lenses of his mask. “Sorry, sorry, I’m not exactly supposed to tell you…. It’s the annual meeting, just to keep everything peaceful. We’ve just got an…. issue on our hands this year.”
Necrolai's eyes sparkled. "How intriguing. Well, I suppose I'll have to be patient and wait, hmm?" She sighed. "Oh, but that's never fun. Maybe there's something I can crash. Break the young royals out of the daycare their inevitably going to be stuck in?" She groaned. "Please tell me I'm actually going to be apart of this meeting and not delegated to the kiddie table. I'm almost an adult!"
Arkturus nodded. “If I have a say in it, you’ll be with us, but I can’t argue with the others. You know that.”
Necrolai sighed, exaggerating the sound. "Yes, I do, I suppose. Well, should we be on our way then?"
after a hour of walking and running he decide to sit by a tree and rest
Coral arrived at the meeting with her father, King Trench, she winced a little as she felt a familiar cold breeze. "This is the place," she spoke with her father as they grabbed seats, "huh?" She had an odd feeling something hadn't quite been right.
(did I ever yeet my character in?)
(oh- uh … here?)
Syfin was sleeping in a tree in the woods near his kingdom.
(Nice.)
"No one else seems to be here yet," Coral pointed out, "and we have an important subject too. You think people would get here earlier."
wakes up and saw it was night then i started to get up and walk deeper into the forest
Arkturus began to walk to the meeting. Once he arrived, he sat in his designated area, his hands folded over each other.
Necrolai took a seat next to him, smoothing her dress and placing her hands in her lap and looking around the room with a neutral expression on her face. She felt the weight of the crown (more like tiara) on her head and the slight warmth of the satin sleeves of her dress. She wished she wore velvet or something thicker, it was a little chilly, but it was too late to worry about that now. Necrolai tried her hardest to look like she belonged there, hoping she wouldn't be pushed to the side like a child if she looked the part of a future queen.
when I walk deeper the farther i get in the forest the more i can see a strange castle "what is that??"
"Welcome to the meeting," King Trench welcomed Arkturus and Necrolai, "it's a pleasure to be able to discuss matters with you." Coral nodded her head, trying a little too hard to act regal in an attempt to hide her concern.
gets closer and saw it was on the mouton"…im go check it out"
Necrolai smiled regally, answering for Arkturus. "The pleasure is all ours, King Trench, I assure you."
