(Heyyy)
(Heyyy)
(I wonder where @RiverTheSeawing is)
"Thanks." Reese was happy for them to help, but they felt a disturbance in the force.
Adelia could feel Reese's mood shifts, and she too sensed the strange presence, but not as strongly as Reese did.
Jovie, however, simply picked the book back up and set it on the shelf.
(Lil bump for River…?)
(I think @RiverTheSeawing has vanished for a moment. I haven’t seen them online in a few days)
(Ugh)
( @RiverTheSeawing, we await your return)
"I'm so sorry," they said clutching their head in their hands, "I don't know why any of this has happened or what's come over me."
Jovie, looking extremely confused, sat back down beside Reese and wrapped a comforting arm around them. "What in the light are you talking about?" She looked at Adelia with concern. "What is Reese talking about?"
Adelia didn't reply. She only moved to kneel in front of Reese. Her eyes were clouded. "I feel it too," she whispered.
Jovie was taken aback, and she looked rapidly between her friends with wide eyes. "Feel what? What is going on?"
(Hello?)
(Should I reply, or do you two still want to do whatever? I haven’t done much just because my characters are a bit isolated from everyone else)
(That makes sense. If you want to, then go for it, but you don't have to yet if you're not ready to go.)
(Hello?)
(It’s been almost a week. Dramatic crying. Why, why has nothing happened?)
(I don't know, I guess I'll make the first move.)
"Just some sort of stillness, some sort of wrong," they said solemnly, "I don't quite know how to explain it."
Something drew them to the book, perhaps it was something in it.
Adelia nodded thoughtfully. "Yes… It is quite an… odd feeling. I haven't felt this in years." Suddenly, she was shaken out of her daze by Jovie grabbing her arm. Adelia jerked her head to look at the girl, whose eyes were wide with confusion and fear.
"Stop it!" Jovie cried. "You're scaring me. Tell me what's going on!"
Adelia's eyes widened, and she opened her lips to reply, but she closed them just as quickly and sadly shook her head. "I don't know entirely. But there's no need to be scared. I promise you we're well-protected here."
