"Shut up and let me worry about my partner in crime. I guess I don't hate you as bad as I thought I did." She sighed and kissed your forehead. "Stay. Here. Don't fight. I've got this. Alright? Throw a knife if it seems like I don't, you still got one good throwing arm." She then ran over as Madz tore her out, and the two began to bicker back and forth as she took hits, when suddenly a trap door opens below me and I go plummeting. "TEOOOOON!" Was the last thing she screamed as she plumeted down. The door shut and Madz looked at you. "Teon? Interesting name for Bait." She cackled. "Well. I guess say goodbye to your beloved down below, and your adored city."
"Aww, thanks!" Teon grinned at Evelyn. "I won't make any promises." He watched as she ran over to Madz and yelled at her for a bit, then bit back a gasp when she suddenly disappeared down the trap door.
"Um. No goodbyes, thank you very much." Teon struggled to his feet, a knife in his hand. "First of all, trap doors are rude and cliche. Don't you know that? Second of all, I still don't get your plan." He glanced towards the floor where Evelyn had disappeared. "Third. Where'd you send Evelyn?"
"One, I know. I like movies, what can I say. Two, you don't have too, three, I'm not answering that. My daughter can handle herself. I know her to well. She works alone. And you? Well now your weaker." She sighs and pulls up a camera. There Evelyn was, in a room, with spikes closing in slowly on all four sides. "She'll get out. And if not then well,oh well." (Sorry for switching from third to first. I was exhausted when I wrote that response)
(It's totally fine)
"Well." Teon sighed. "Can I ask you why I'm weaker? Is it 'cause I'm wounded?" He glanced around the room, but the only exit was the doors that he blocked off. "Also. Why have I never heard of you? Is it because you're a… minor villain?" Teon grinned.
"Yes, yes I am. Underdogs deserve to rise and befall others. I work in and with the shadows, and have made sure to not become big. If you become big, you get attacked a lot more. Plans get exploited sooner. You get away with a lot less. My ex-wife is a huge hero. She gets all that…publicity." She shudders. "And yes. But. No matter. You are interesting nonetheless."
"Why am I 'interesting'?" Teon asked, casually checking his wound. The cloth Evelyn had stuffed in it was soaked in blood. Probably not a good sign, but he'd never been good at first aid. "I mean, I'm literally just a dude." He glanced towards the camera, but it had turned off. He hoped Evelyn was still alive, and not stabbed or crushed to death.
"Just are." She sighs and goes over to you, grabs your arm, and dresses your wound properly. "If I keep you both here, running like mice, well maybe, just maybe, I can take down the Guns and Knives Killing Co." As she is dressing your wound she fishes the recording device out of your pocket, and hits pause, and takes out the tape, then crushes it beneath her boot. "Oh no, no evidence! What a tragedy." She chuckles. Suddenly an alarm starts blaring. "Hm?" She goes to check the cameras, and there EVelyn was, dashing through corridors, singing away. "I'M GONNA FIND TEEOOOONN OH YES I AM I'M HERE FOR MY MAP MAAAAAN! IF YOU KILLED HIM, I SWEAR I'LL STUFF YOUR HEAD!"
"Ha!" Teon grinned madly and started carefully creeping towards the doors. If he was going to get out of here– and if Evelyn was gonna find him– he'd have to unblock the door. Teon looked back at Madz, then sprinted towards the door and pulled the gun out, keeping it in case he had to fight more people. But no enemies surged in. At least he had that going for him.
She shakes her head and begins to close all sorts of walls and corridors. "BOOB BOOM ACTIVATE!" Evelyn cries out. Suddenly her boobs reveal two giant base boom speakers, which create a base boom so loud it blows holes in the doors and walls. "HAHA NOTHING CAN STOP ME NOW!" Evelyn was dangerous, and scary when left alone to her own devices.
"Wow. She's basically me, but with explosions instead of knives." Teon said to himself, looking back and forth between the screen and Madz. He was surprised that she was going to such lengths to get him back. She could have easily gone back to the headquarters and got reinforcements. Finished the mission. But he was glad. He liked the idea of not dying.
Suddenly you hear a lot of screaming, and then the doors exploded off their hinges. "Death by boob boom is very painful." She goes over to you, as the bases go away, and picks you up. "Cmon Map Man…shit she crushed your recorder." She pats her pockets. "Thank goodness I had one on me as well." She sighs. "I think this would be considered a job well done? We did what we had to. Let's call Head Mistress and get the fuck outta here."
"Yep." Teon nodded, then glanced over at Madz. "What are we going to do about her? Just leave her, right?" He looked at the knife in his hand and grinned. "With a big headache." Teon threw the knife at Madz, the pommel of the knife hitting her in the head, knocking her out. "Okay, let's get out of here."
Evelyn laughed. "I don't know WHY I hated you. Probably jealousy." She nods and walks off. "I want to try to killing people with Boob Boom more often. Super cool splatter affect. I'll have to make sure to tell my brother about that. He's a movie producer when he isn't being a hero." She sighs and sets you down as you two walk out, and calls Head Mistress. "Yup we got it. No he's not dead. Yes we did try to kill eachother. Uhuh. Yup we're friends now just like you predicted. Yeah we'll wait outside the forest." She hung up. "We gotta try to find the spot we were at last time to catch the van back."
"Ooh, super fun. Hiking through the forest." Teon grinned at Evelyn. "At least I don't have a leg injury. You'd have to carry me the entire way." He frowned. "Why'd the Head Mistress ask if I was dead? Just a status report, I hope. Or she really is trying to get me killed."
"I'm more likely to kill my team members than you are." She smiled back. "I wouldn't mind carrying you. Man taking a shot and not able to heal, that must hurt like hell though. Though carrying you would seem awful romantic" She said with a laugh.
"Oh, no, anything but stuff being romantic." Teon gasped, throwing his good arm over his forehead. "But honestly, I'm fine. Just as long as I don't move it too much, I'm fine. I've had worse." He frowned and looked at Evelyn critically. "Just how many team members have you killed?"
"Huh? Accidentally or meant to?" She asked innocently, an arm around your waist. "Glad Madz dressed your wound properly." She sighed. "Anyways. Oh yes, romance. God, it'd be wild if we ended up dating. Like as if we are in a book or something."
"Meant to," Teon replied. "And you really shouldn't be. As she was dressing it, she stole the voice recorder. So we only have one now." He pointed out. "But at least I won't bleed out." Teon shrugged. "If we ended up dating, that would be pretty crazy. I guess we'll just have to see."
"Okay, meant to,excluding all the technicalities. 2. Maybe. Anyways…Oh? Are you saying we will? Are you saying there's a POSSIBILITY?" She teased, raising her eyebrows with a grin.
"Two? Not bad." He shrugged. "And I'm saying," Teon smiled mysteriously, "that we'll have to see." He looked around and frowned. "Do you know where we're going? I don't remember the way we came in."
"Ha me neither." She cackled and kept walking. "It'll take a few hours for it to get here anyways so we'll figure it out." She shrugs.
"Great. Trying to get out of a villain's lair and we don't even know how to get out of here." Teon laughed softly and looked around. "There'd better not be people trying to stop us. I mean, we're getting out, not going in. They should be thankful."
"Oh well I mean with how bad I destroyed everything, I think we'll be fine." She smiled. "We've got tons of time,we'll figure it out. At least we aren't on a mountain or anything like that.Pretty easy day today, I would think."
"I guess." Teon shrugged. "You did break pretty much everything, so even if they try to get to us… they won't be able to reach us. Lots of places to hide. And, of course, it also adds more difficulty for us." He shrugged. "A win-lose situation, it would seem."
