"I don't know." Teon shrugged, slightly embarrassed by the whole thing. "But I sit still for two minutes, and then… I can't walk normally until I've stretched them out again. It's really annoying, and probably another reason I was limited to simple assignments." He laughed bitterly. "Apparently my impressive ability to never miss a target doesn't outweigh the fact I can't sit still for long trips."
"Huh. Well we could've walked here but that would've taken forever and also wasted all of our energy." She carefully sets you down beneath the base of a tree. "Here. Stretch em out a bit."
"Thanks." Teon brings in one of his legs to his chest, then extends it again. He does a few circles with his ankle, then repeats the process with his other leg. "Okay, I think I'm good." He pulls himself to his feet and nods. "Let's go."
"You sure?" Out of nowhere she Chuck's a knife and there was a loud crackling sound as it hit the camera that was watching them. "Great a forest of hidden cameras and retrieving knives. Yay." She sighed and went over, climbed the tree, grabbed the knife, and hopped out, walking back over to you.
"Yeah, I'm sure." Teon watches impassivly as Evelyn throws the knife, then retrieves it. "You have to retrieve your knives?" He laughed softly. "That's cute." Teon glanced around, looking for more cameras. "I'm guessing a surprise attack is either out of the question or much harder to achieve than it was two seconds ago."
"Agreed. And no, I don't have to, but I can't afford new knives at the current moment. Or for awhile. Saving up for a new piece of tech…Hmm…actually my suit should have pretty good charge, but I shouldn't waste it. Not yet. Also. Can you dance?" She asked, walking off, glancing down at the map every once in awhile.
"Probably." Teon said, walking after her. "I haven't ever really had the time to dance, though." He frowned. "Why do you ask?"
"No reason. I dance battle, it's always nice to have a partner. Knives on my toes, guns in my hands, so I make chaos where ever I goes." She shrugged. "Oh well. I'll twirl and leap on my own."
"Okay…" Teon nodded slowly. "Well, you can do that and distract them, and I'll stand back and pick them off one by one." He grinned. "Yay, teamwork."
"You've never seen someone dance fight have you? You're a sharp shooter, while I'm more crafty. We'll work it out." She sighed and kept walking. "Wish I could roller skate."
"No, I haven't. Might I remind you, I don't ever do things of importance?" Teon grinned. "But I can't wait to see you do it. It sounds like it could be fun. To watch." He frowned. "Why do you wish you could roller skate?"
"Faster than walking through this stupid forest." She sighed as she kept going. "And it's so hot,and boring. I do not mind forests, but like this one doesn't even have any wildlife, except maybe robots to spy on us. It's a very villiany thing to do." (Yay The Incredibles)
"Oh, yeah." Toen glanced at the ground. "I think it would actually be harder to have on rollerskates. The ground isn't exactly, you know, flat." He managed to avoid tripping on a random root and grinned. "See? Wait, there are robots here?" He frowned. "Or are you just messing with me?"
"I mean I dunno, there probably are. There was that random camera I mean…" She shrugs, when suddenly she stops and looks around. There was the sound of shuffling, and a few people shouting. "Great. Guards. Guess no peaceful sneak-in entrance."
"Fantastic." Teon pulled two knives from inside his jacket and held them at the ready. "I guess this is my chance to see you in action, at least."
"Hm. We'll see. I don't like to waste my energy until we're inside. A lot more fun." She sighed and pulled out a katana out of nowhere. "Let's just hope this gets over quick. Probably just repair men to fix the camera."
"Hope so. Easier to take down that way." Teon shrugged and peered through the trees. "It looks like there's… four of them. I think." He glanced at Evelyn. "I got two, wanna get the other two?"
"Sure." She shrugged . "How we gonna do this?"
"Well, I was thinking, kill them all and loot the bodies. But we could also do the whole 'we got lost, where are we' think and hope they don't call it in. You know, was a way to get closer to them…" Teon frowned and shook his head slightly. "Let's just kill them as quickly as we can."
She nodded and tapped out a simple rhythem on her arm. "Juuust in case." She then tapped the tip of each shoe to her heel, and out popped two more knives. "Fun for throat slitting!" She then was off, walking forward. "Hello! I am Muse, and uh we're here having a picnic date." The guards look at me. "Oh…BABE GET OUT HERE!" I yell, and as soon as you walk forward she turns back to the guards, hand slipping into yours. "You see, we wouldn't have to draw our weapons if you wouldn't scare us like tha-" Suddenly she flings a knife at the radio one of the guys is speaking into, and it embeds itself into his shoulder. "SEE? Sheesh. RUDE!" Suddenly she has a drawn on her and she sticks her finger in it. "Woah there buddy, don't want any more trouble then what we have, do we? No. Didn't think so." She brings up her hand and pops the gun out of his grip, catches it, and aims it at the now gunless guard. "Now then. Are we gonna have a peaceful fight or-?" She's cut off by the guy stabbed in the shoulder, now having removed it from there, chucking it at her. She caught it with her free hand and rolled her eyes. "Right. Then a 1,2,3,4!" She suddenly spun around and as her leg is caugh, her other one comes up, slits his throat and she turns it into a twirl like a ballerina, before doing a handstand on his shoulders, and shoving the katana through the other guys head down two his jaw, and taking it back out, before landing on the ground and bowing. "All right fellas, now then. Either run, or die."
"Whoa, whoa." Toen held up his hands, two knives clutched in one hand. "You're not going anywhere." The remaining two guys look between Evelyn and Teon, then turned and sprinted away. "Did you even listen to me?" He groaned and grabbed one of his knives, throwing it at the nearest person. It hit him in the back and he went down. The last guy glanced back, eyes wide with panic. Teon flung the knife at him, nailing him in the eye. "That was much harder than it had to be." He held up both his hands and the knives fly back into them. "Did you really have to do the whole 'we're on a date' thing?" Teon asked, wiping the knives on his pants. "It wasn't that necessary, was it?"
"Gotta have SOME back story sheesh, party pooper…man. When I get back, gotta work out my thighs." She shrugged and walked off, humming a bit,not a care in the world.
"Of course." Teon rolled his eyes and hurried after Evelyn. "Think they're gonna send more people out?" He asked, glancing around sharply. "Probably. If so, let's do the 'stealth killing' instead of what we just did."
"You're no fun,ya know that?" She said with an eye roll. "But fine."
"Well, I'm just thinking of stealth stuff." Teon protested. "You know-" He stops, eyes wide. "Is that the place?" He asked, pointing at a large building peeking through the trees.
