”Me too.” Liz nodded gently. Her family had been alive when she left… Now she wasn't so certain but it was nice to imagine that they were still fine. Though the not knowing was unsettling.
”Me too.” Liz nodded gently. Her family had been alive when she left… Now she wasn't so certain but it was nice to imagine that they were still fine. Though the not knowing was unsettling.
"Let's make a promise, Liz… To protect each other till the bitter end," He looked at Liz with a complex gaze and brought out his hand.
"A lovers promise… So to speak…"
She looked at him and took his hand. ”I can do that.” she agreed, lips twitching into a small smile. ”What exactly do we do for a lover's promise, James?”
"We say our oaths and get married." He smirked, before laughing.
"That is for another time, right now we shall both say that we will love each other till death do us apart… And kiss, at least that's what you do for the main part I believe…"
She laughed at the joke but nodded. She smiled and leaned down, kissing him. ”To love and protect from this day forward.” she promised as she blushed.
"To love and protect from this day forward." He repeated as he promised too. He then kissed her back and wrapped his arms around her.
"I would love to stay like this forever…" He muttered to her.
Blake right now was walking with a woman, solemnly watching the preparations being made.
"Lo- Princess, I suppose now would be the best time to get you to meet with Commander James, he's finally staying put…"
"I believe that would be for the best," She laughed and said before doing a small curtsy.
"Lead the way, Captain."
Blake headed towards the medbay with the princess, talking to her.
Liz carefully wrapped her arms around his neck as they kissed. ”That would be nice.” she agreed, almost whispering against his lips. She suddenly let out a short soft laugh. ”I wonder if Helwaz has some kind of psychic powers.” she joked at how close they were at the moment, remembering when he called them mates.
"Who knows, that man is… Quite interesting though," He chuckled as he kissed her once again,
"Then let us be like this right now," He grinned.
Blake and the princess reached the door when he paused, raising a brow at the pair and silently leaning against a bed. He coughed lightly as he watched them.
"It seems life and death situations have brought a relationship upon us," He said.
Liz giggled and returned the kiss, silently agreeing with his suggestion. Though she jumped a little in surprise at hearing the Captain's voice and blushed at being caught. She wasn't embarrassed about James, it was just the feeling of being found out. It made her feel like a teenager enjoying her first kiss and her family had just seen them.
James grinned as he held Liz tighter.
"Truly, it seems the same happened to you too though," He chuckled.
"Perhaps…" He looked away then smiled as he brought the princess inside
"Ok maybe…"
"Greetings Hoomans, I am Princess Liamaer, the leader of the half-elves." She bowed slightly.
"I have heard much about you… Commander."
"Is that so?" James raised a brow as he glanced at Blake who was calmly looking back.
"Yes, Captain Blake has showered me with tales of your bravery, and both of your backgrounds,"
"I see, interesting," James smiled.
"And who are you? If you dont mind me asking," The princess politely asked Liz.
Liz relaxed a little as James held her and nodded politely to the Captain, though she was a little confused by James’ comment… Until the Princess walked in. Somebody has high taste, you dog. she briefly smirked. I’m sure that's not all you showered her with.
”It’s an honor to meet you, Your Majesty. I am Elizabeth Harper.” she smiled. ”Forgive me for asking but what exactly has our Captain said about us?”
"Well… Not too much about you but he has talked about the commander quite a bit… Things like 'he is the most brilliant fighter' 'He has a strong will,' It really can get annoying when you are trying to sleep." She looked at Blake who was quite red.
"Uh. Uh. I mean," He coughed lightly.
"I think me and uh Liamaer have something to do, so uh, gotta go… Bye," He began to walk away with the princess who was trying hard to stifle her laughs,
James smiled as he kissed her, not really thinking about much aside from himself and Liz.
Liz smiled, holding back her laughter at the Captain's expense. She had never seen him so embarrassed before. She turned back to James as he kissed her. ”How long have you been such good friends with him again?” she chuckled, once they were alone again.
"Since our planet was destroyed," He said.
"A very long time ago,"
”Oh.” she said softly. ”I’m sorry.” Why did some of the worst things happen to such people like James? People who didn't deserve it.
"It's fine… after I was the only survivor aside from Blake, we both went into the military and… Here we are," He sighed and looked away.
She smiled a little sadly and kissed his cheek, laying next to him as much as she could in the small bed. ”Here we are.” she agreed softly.
"Well, what's done is done, we can't stay in the past for too long," He looked above.
”That’s true.” she nodded, holding his hand. ”That’s a good philosophy to live by.” she told him.
"But it is also hard to stick to, at least it is for me,"
”Because you don't want to forget your past.” she finished in agreement. She sighed a little and looked at him. ”Maybe we can help each other stay in the present moment a bit more, instead of looking back.” she offered.
"That… Would be a good idea, yeah, why not?" He smiled and said as he looked back.
She smiled at him, glad that he accepted her suggestion and kissed him gently. ”What do you want to do now?” she asked.
