"Almost everyone I've met thinks it's annoying." She said, shrugging her good shoulder as she looked away. "It's just different, I guess."
"Almost everyone I've met thinks it's annoying." She said, shrugging her good shoulder as she looked away. "It's just different, I guess."
"What about you is normal?" he asked, pulling her into the hug a little tighter. "That's why I like you so much."
She huffed a slightly startled laugh, resting her forehead on his chest to hide her red cheeks. "How sweet. Normal's overrated."
"How many friend do you have that are normal?" he asked, grinning down at her. "I can't imagine very many."
"Fuck, I hate how right you are." She shook her head, chuckling. "None of them are normal. Literally."
"Cause there's no such thing as normal." He rested his chin on her head again, deciding it was very comfortable.
"Hmmm…" She hummed thoughtfully for a moment, before making a noise of agreement. "Alright, point. Why d'you have to be right all the time?"
"Well, someone has to be in this relationship," he said, rolling his eyes at her playful whining.
"Aw, man." She sighed dramatically, going limp against him. "And we all know it can't be me."
He snorted, easily holding her weight. "That's 'cause you never pay attention, Ms. Stark."
"I've got more important things to do." She said surely, with a small 'hmph'.
"Such as?" he asked, raising his eyebrows down at her.
"Memorizing pick up lines and being an asshole." She answered, meeting his gaze with a small grin.
"Who else are you using pick up lines on?" he asked, feigning offense.
"Literally every single person I meet. Except little kids. Older ladies find it hilarious." She said, schooling her face into a serious mask.
"Damn," he said, beginning to pull away in a dramatic fashion, "I thought I was special."
"I'm kidding, Klaus. Mostly." She huffed, holding him tighter with her good arm.
He ceased his struggling, smiling despite himself. "Mind if we sit down? My legs are getting a little tired." He eyed the loveseat in the back right corner.
"Probably a good idea." She snorted, her cheeks once again reddening as she released him to tug him towards the small couch.
"It's such a hodge-podge of office chairs and desks up here," he said, letting her guide him with no resistance. "Why do you need this many?"
"Some days call for a spinny chair, some call for normal chairs. I don't like desks all that much, I prefer tables, but dad likes 'em." She said, picking through the cluttered tables and desks. "Plus, we have other supes in here occasionally."
"So this is, like, the conference room?" he asked as they reached the couch.
"Sort of, I guess. Accidentally." She mused, plopping down and tucking her legs underneath her.
He thumped down next to her, offering his arm out for a hug. "Wonder if we'll ever get a super duo name," he mused.
"Might help if I had a name myself." She joked, leaning into him and wrapping her arms around him. "But that'd be cool."
