"I suppose he got bored of town life… but he could have become something great! He was on his way to becoming a noble, after all, and then suddenly decided he no longer likes studying and would rather adventure in search of nothing in particular."
"I mean, it said that he left to go and save that one girl, but seriously, I see him having absolutely no interest in her. They could've gotten someone else to save that one girl, and he didn't seem to be hating his life in the town, to be honest. He could've gotten slightly bored, but not bored to the point of leaving," Patton said.
"Yeah… there's a lot of plot holes." Logan sighed. "Not to mention, he always seems to be frustrated with her when she's around. I just don't understand why he went."
"I truly don't understand it either, Logan. It's not love… I can sense a slight bit of hatred between the two characters, yet he still went to save her. I'll come back with more ideas and stuff for you in a bit," Patton said.
"Maybe it's like Roman? I know he'd feel like it was his duty to help them even if he doesn't like them. That's just how he is."
"He could be like Roman, true. I'll look into that when I decide to continue reading it, okay, Logan? I would like to figure this out, but I only just started and don't have enough character information."
Logan nodded and lay back on his bed, sighing softly. He could remember almost every detail in the book. He was fairly sure he had at least a partially photographic memory, so he did well in that area.
"I'm going to continue reading now," Patton said before picking his book up and continuing to read from where he left off, hoping to understand the characters a bit better and explain things to Logan again.
"Alright." Logan yawned a bit and closed his eyes, convincing himself that he was not tired, but only thinking.
"Also, Lo, remember to sleep if you're tired," Patton said when he heard the yawn, looking up from his book to tell Logan that, waiting for a response before he continued reading.
"I'm fine, Patton…" Logan hummed softly to himself, keeping his eyes closed for now.
"I'm just saying, Logan," Patton said before returning to the book for a bit.
"Mhmm." Soon enough, Logan had drifted off to sleep. He shifted a little in his sleep to be more comfortable.
Patton looked up from his book to see Logan sleeping. He smiled softly at that, tucked Logan in, turned the lights off and then left the room to not wake Logan up.
(Aight)
Logan awoke in the morning, still far later than he would normally want to wake up. He still felt slow and sleepy and he hated it.
Patton was awake and about to check up on Logan when Logan woke up. Not knowing if Logan was awake or not, he quietly opened the door and poked his head into the room to see that Logan was awake before fully walking into it. "Oh, hey, Lo! I didn't expect you to sleep for that long, honestly."
Logan whined softly and huddled into his comforter. "I hate this…" He mumbled quietly.
"You hate being tired? It takes a minute to fully wake up sometimes, but you should be okay," Patton said.
"I feel all slow and fuzzy… it's weird and I hate it…" He yawned again and closed his eyes. "I don't want to go back to sleep, but my body is telling me that it does…"
"It happens some mornings, Lo. Try getting up and walking around a bit. That should help fully wake you up," Patton said. "This will end soon, I promise."
"Mmmmmm… why don't you just join me…? I don't wanna get up…" He kept his eyes closed and yawned again.
"That works too," Patton said, then getting into Logan's bed and lying next to him, then deciding that this was the best opportunity to snuggle, hoping that Logan wouldn't mind too much.
Logan wrapped his arms around Patton and soon dozed off again. He was exhausted, and his body was taking the opportunity to catch up on some needed sleep.
