Patton truly didn't question anything, not wanting to accidentally make Logan feel like he needs to change who he is to be a good boyfriend.
Patton truly didn't question anything, not wanting to accidentally make Logan feel like he needs to change who he is to be a good boyfriend.
Logan grabbed Patton's hand and dragged him off to his room. "Well, I guess they're gone, then." Virgil watched them go, a bit confused.
"Yeah, that was definitely strange, wasn't it?" Roman said.
Patton let Logan do whatever, though he was clearly somewhat confused with Logan just randomly dragging him to his room.
Logan sat Patton down on the bed and grabbed two books from his desk. "Here. I got you a copy while I was out." He handed one book to Patton and sat beside him, opening up his book to where he'd left off.
"Oh, thank you, Logan!" Patton smiled and started to read the book, hoping to eventually catch up to Logan so they could talk about it again, and he did find it quite interesting, too.
Logan nodded and continued reading silently. He eventually lay back on the bed to be more comfortable.
Patton continued to read the book as well, mentally taking notes of certain things and getting to know the characters and their aspirations better.
"What do you think they're doing?" Virgil asked Roman, still a little bewildered about everything that was going on.
"I have absolutely no idea, honestly. They're pretty quiet, though. Maybe they're reading or something like that," Roman said.
"Probably… Sounds like a Logan thing to do." Virgil sighed. "What do you wanna do?"
"Yes, it definitely is a Logan thing to do. Also, I don't know," Roman said, moving closer to Virgil. "Other than spending time with you, anyway."
"Mm…" Virgil huddled closer to Roman and closed his eyes, smiling softly. "I do like spending time with you."
Roman smiled at that. "I like spending time with you too, and I like to make sure that you're safe and happy at all times."
"Thanks, Ro…" Virgil pulled himself up into Roman's lap and lay his head on the other's shoulder, getting himself comfortable.
"I'll always be here to make sure that you're safe and happy," Roman wrapped his arm around Virgil and was smiling softly.
Virgil smiled as well and seemed to be content. He always felt more comfortable and secure in Roman's arms.
Roman was always glad to protect Virgil, and he was glad that he could actually do so and make Virgil feel secure.
After about an hour or so, Logan had finished his book and was quietly laying on the bed, his gaze fixed on the ceiling.
Patton looked up from the book for a moment to see what Logan was doing. "I see that you finished it. That's great, Logan!"
"Mhmm. How are you liking it so far, Patton?" Logan asked, still staring at the ceiling.
"It's great, Logan! I've spent a while thinking about characters and stuff, but I'm seeing why they're doing things!" Patton said.
Logan nodded. "You can help me understand the emotional part of the book. I really don't get most of that, to be honest."
"Ah, well, I was going to explain it so far if you'd let me!" Patton said, then explaining the emotional parts of the book from what he's read so far to Logan.
Logan sat up and listened quietly to Patton's explanation. "The fact that he bothered to leave town in the first place is preposterous."
"I've been wondering why he did that, too. I've been thinking about how he feels about everything, and it doesn't really make much sense for him to have left, but I didn't read much after that," Patton said.
