“Thank you..” he said as he started to lose conciseness

“I can help.” Trent nodded, tucking his arms underneath Jake’s knees to help lift the boy. “Let’s get him to the infirmary.”

Ophelia hooked her arms under Jake's arms and lifted. "Good idea."

Trent began to carry the boy to the infirmary with Ophelia’s help, setting him down on a cot as they got there and the few staffed Apollo kids rushed over. They asked questions Trent didn’t know the answer to, even the basic asking what the boy’s name was.

Ophelia stood back, out of the way, as the memory of her own arrival flashed through her mind. She hoped the boy would be alright.

He started to wake up agian and tried to move his right arm

“Take it easy.” Trent soothed, unwilling to abandon the boy.

He laid back down his arm and flinched in pain “does that forest usually have monsters?”

He flinched again from the pain he looked over to inspect his left arm

Hi! Sorry I’m back lol))

Trent nodded. “For training purposes. I suppose you don’t know what a demigod is?”

“No. Dammit” he flinched again “those monsters did this to my arm” there was burn marks and slashes all over his left arm

“Calm down.” Trent soothed again, stepping back so the Apollo kids could patch the boy up.

Almost an hour passed and they finished patching him up and he stood from the cot and asked “what’s a demigod?”

"It's what you-we-are." Ophelia spoke up, stepping forward.

He only answered with a look of confusion

“What?”

“Before we explain, what’s your name?” Trent piped up from where he’d been loyally sitting nearby for the hour’s duration.

“My names jake, Jake Riley “

“What’s different about demigods compared to normal people?”

“Trenton Horne.” He introduced himself calmly. “Have you ever witnessed anything strange? Besides those monsters you just met a few hours ago?”

“I have met strange people and some other things..” he thought for a moment
“Is that my mom never was at home”

Trent nodded solemnly. “One last question. Do you know anything about Greek mythology?”

“Yeah a lot I really like most history”
