Why did she keep walking away? Could she not face him like a princess? His footsteps landed heavily as he chased after her. The flame inside had doused out by now, and all Aquila felt were ashes, pathetic gray ashes like charred snow. The ashes were the same shade of gray as Luna, the ground he stared dully at, the remains of a revolution. His mouth opened. His mouth shut. He was Aquila Blackburn, son of Levan- the words didn't spark fire when there wasn't a match. He told himself it was the strategy. He needed to get back on her good side. If he wanted the chip, if he wanted the power, he needed to fake a sincere apology and pretend this never happened. But he was wrong. When he said, "I'm sorry," it didn't come from want. It was a whisper produced by the gray ashes.
Karina turned, eyes a bit red, but not completely so. She hated seeming so weak in front of Aquila. The two words to break the silence were surprising. Her eyes would have widened were she not so upset with the other. "I can't accept," was all she said. "I'd rather you leave me alone if anything," she stated coldly. The princess had no bite to her words even though she felt angry when he apologised. It should be what she wants to hear, but it's not. You don't just simply make it better with 'sorry' after breaking someone down to their very core.
This time she didn't move. If he was going to continue, then he could say what he wanted. She never wanted to see this boy again.
(dude I just love the thought of the next gen after this like: We actually are the children of mortal enemies but y'know it's whatever)
Alpha opened her eyes and saw the stars. “Caedmon?” Her voice was soft and tired.
(@Icefire is gone for awhile, remember that)
(not gone, just not super active!)
Caedmon opened his eyes, and looked at her. "Hmm?" He asked, yawning slightly.
(Ok I feel like movie time is over but like. Idk what they would do 😂)
(Vesper should give his opinion on it, and Cassie should offer to show him more sometime. Then just small talk I guess?)
(What I just realized was that I think Vesper and Cassie were nearby when the yelling and crying happened but I could be wrong)
(Emotional trauma going on)
(Vesper: Should we-)
(Cassie: SHH SHH! This is the best part!)
(Vesper: Uh, okay…)
(lol that is…almost one hundred percent what Vesper would do lol)
(That's legit what I was imagining ngl)
Cassie stopped the movie as the credits started to roll and sighed slightly. "Well, what did you think of it?"
Vesper shrugged slightly, not looking at her. "I don't know…it was good, I guess." He replied, running a hand through his hair.
"You guess? Does that mean you actually hated it, but don't want to offend me and my love for Disney?" She quirked an eyebrow.
Alpha sat up and her curls tumbled over her face as she turned to face Caedmon. “What time is it?”
Vesper blinked. "I uhm…I haven't seen many movies…so…" He trailed off, eyes darting around a little. He wasn't sure what to say.
Caedmon shrugged slightly. "I don't know." He replied, stretching.
"Well, it was entertaining, at least," Cassie stood and stretched.
She pulled out her port and saw her reflection. “Have I looked like this all day!?!” She examined her face with disgust.
Vesper nodded again, stretching a litpte and glancing worriedly at Karina and Aquila. Should he do something? Aquila was his king and leader, after all, but…he frowned slightly.
Caedmon chuckled. "What, adorable? Far as I know, yes." He replied with an almost flirtatious smile.
Cassie briefly followed Vesper's gaze to the pair before rolling her eyes. They all just seemed to be taking turns fighting. It was becoming annoying. "Hey, Ves, wanna go for a walk or something?" She suggested.
Vesper blinked, looking at her. "I…sure?" He replied slowly, standing up. "If you want…"
Cassie nodded. "There's a road a ways away with real trees. It's really nice," she explained.
Vesper nodded again. "I know." He replied with a shrug. "I live here, remember?" He asked, sighing a little.
Cassie raised an eyebrow. "Alright, then."
Salem licked Alpha on the cheek to say hello
