Karina seemed a bit out of place with everyone pulling off into their groups of two. It wasn't the worst thing though. It was almost nice to not have any eyes constantly staring at her. She noticed a girl she hadn't seen before. The newcomer seemed a bit timid and scared and looked a lot like the hosts of the get together. Perhaps their daughter? By the way the girl behaved, she didn't seem like her mother, and a bit more reserved like her father. She decided to walk over and introduce herself.
"I don't believe we've met before," Karina stated simply, smile forming on her lips.
Alana jumped. She was very jumpy today, what with all these new people. "Who- Oh he-hello there…" Alana gave a shaky smile. "If we're going to talk, let's at least go somewhere else please."

Vesper went quiet, watching the two carefully. Child of Winter, and Cinder's child. He realized, eyes flickering slightly.

Turning back to Vesper, Alana repeated herself. "Well? Didja want to be friends or not? If you don't want to, just say so instead of leading me on." she frowned.
Vesper hesitated. "I…sure." he said slowly.
"Really? Maybe I can help you with the game or something!" Alana grinned.
Vesper shook his head quickly. "No, it's…I…" He glanced at Aquila. Help! He begged silently. I'm not good at this!
This caught Karina's interest. "Game?" she asked, tilting her head lightly.
"Yeah! They're playing an online game, and they're discussing strategy!" her eyes sparkled with mischief. "You could help too! Hey, what's your name?" Alana asked Karina.
Vesper fidgeted slightly, eyes slipping around the group. Help me! He silently begged. What do I say?!
(School struck I'm so sorry)
Aquila's eyes flashed with warning and veiled amusement. "It's pretty complicated, maybe we should teach you guys one-on-one," he said arrogantly. "So… who first?" Aquila asked, taking out a port-screen.

Vesper sighed softly. There. Let Aquila take control. He's better at this than you are. He told himself, closing his eyes for a moment.
Alana nudged Karina lightly. "Did you want to learn? If so, you can go first. I can wait."
Karina shrugged. She was just curious about what sort of game this was as Vesper looked very nervous. She turned to Alana and introduced herself. It was nice to do so for a change. "My name is Karina," she said, not using her full name. The casual action was nice. No expectations from Alana. Focusing back on Aquila, the girl narrowed her eyes in challenge. "I think you'll find I'm a fast learner."
"Oh, nice to met you Karina! I'm Alana," she grinned.
The girl waited for Alana to realize who she was and bombard her with pleasantries. When none came, Karina smiled back at the other. "And to you as well," she replied.
Vesper remained quiet, relaxing slightly. Perhaps it was unfair of him to expect Aquila to help him with that, but…to be honest, Vesper hadn't raised to be good with people. He hadn't been raised to know what to say and what to do, how to handle people. He had been raised to be a thaumaturge and weapon. That was it.
“Yeah. You do seem like how my parents talk about your parents. Does that make sense?” She jumped down from the tree. It was getting a bit uncomfortable.
"Not really, but," she shrugged, "sounds accurate enough."
“Heh. Yeah. I’m not the best at talking.”

(Oh god um so they're all hanging out at a reunion type thing where all their parents are chilling, except Aquila and Vesper, who are the sons of Levana and Sybil, respectively. They want to dismantle Cinder's reign and bring the Lunar ruling back to what it was. At the moment, they're all just sort of chilling outside. Karina (Cinder's kid), Alana (Winter's kid), Vesper, and Aquila are all hanging out… near the house, I think? And Cassie and Alpha (Scarlet's kid) are by a tree in the yard.)

Cassie laughed. "I'm well aware. It's alright, though, I've met worse."
Alpha laughed a full laugh, exposing sharp fangs just like her dads.
