@Fraust
Ashpaw nodded. "My friends, Snowpaw and Frostpaw, will rank up soon. You may have met them. And they kinda ran away from me… unsure why. I don't know whether it was something I said or not because they didn't offer any explanation."
Ashpaw nodded. "My friends, Snowpaw and Frostpaw, will rank up soon. You may have met them. And they kinda ran away from me… unsure why. I don't know whether it was something I said or not because they didn't offer any explanation."
"You being a medicine cat, and them being a warriors apprentice, there is a rank difference. Maybe they think you know to much and they don't want to be over thrown by you knowledge of herbs and healing?"
"No, I don't think so. We were just talking when Frostpaw just seemed to get angry and walk away. Snowpaw soon followed him, leaving me completely bewildered." Ashpaw turned his gaze towards the fish again.
"Maybe you said something that offended him." Windspirit said as she licked her cream colored paw.
"Well, I remember saying that I thought Starclan cats still liked to have fun sometimes, and that was about the last thing I said before they stormed off. I don't know how that would be offensive though…"
"Maybe before that?" She said slowly, tilting her head to the side, "Or maybe you said that or something else in a manner that sounded like you meant something else?"
"I don't know. His comment seemed completely related to mine. He said 'I would have kicked her if she insulted my mentor.' with no context!" Ashpaw's paw darted forward, landing one of the bass. "I'm not entirely sure what to think."
"Maybe… uh…" She let out a long sigh, "Maybe…. Was it just you and him talking?"
Ashpaw shook his head. "His sister, Snowpaw, was there too. When I asked her what I had done and why Frostpaw was upset, she looked uncomfortable and lied before leaving as well."
"Well then you're lost." She said bluntly, "Go ask them! I wasn't there so I have no clue what really happened. I'm sorry."
Ashpaw shrugged. "Whatever it was, they seem unwilling to tell, considering Snowpaw blatantly lied when I asked what was wrong…" He gently stuck a forepaw into the water, watching as little rivulets of water ran past the obstruction.
"Someone might have been watching. I don't know, but go see and ask them, they might be able to point out your mistake."
"Perhaps later, I am in no rush." Ashpaw looked over at his small pile of herbs, which was beginning to wilt slightly. He moved his tail in a way that exposed his broken, self splinted leg.
(Sorry, mom had to do some stuff on this computer.)
"Well, I best be off," The cream colored she-cat purred, "the prey wont catch itself."
"Goodbye." Ashpaw stood up and grabbed his herbs and fish, limping back to camp with his fluffy tail high in the air.
Padding through the tall ferns Ashpaw stopped as he reached the end and glanced around for any signs of danger, finding none he raced across the field to where the pebbly ground joined the grass. Glancing up quickly and seeing no clouds but only the brilliant blue sky that was filled with birds, he bounced from stone to stone until he reached the opposite shoreline.
(Should Finch be back now?)
(Umm, Idk, that would be nice but it has only been one day in this time and we left them at the mountains… I don't think they could walk that far in one day)
(Idk we could time skip considering nothing's rlly happening rn)
(Something could happen-> We go back in camp and see Blazestorm and Liondawn sneaking out, we follow them and find that they are heading back to BLizzards camp!)
(Oof but I thought they were loyal now)
(They are loyal, they want to go back and see where Lynxfur lives so they can tell Foxstar)
(Ohhh. I mean, yeah, sure, if you want)
(YEEEEEEEE, your turn ((And I have to go soon))
(Eeeeeeeeee)
Ashpaw entered the camp to see Liondawn and Blazestorm leaving. They seemed not to notice him, and rather than confronting them, he decided he should follow them. He quickly put his herbs in a safe place and followed, making sure he kept at least three fox lengths behind them at all times and walking as silently as possible.
