"Thank you, Snowface." Ashpaw bowed his head politely before going back to the medicine den and organizing. It suddenly occurred to him how much he organized the herbs. It seemed that Finchsong's neat manner had rubbed off on him.

Taking out the dried marigold, Ashpaw dipped his head as Lilypetal passed by. Avoiding Jaysong and glary eyed Frostpaw, he quickly leaped the stepping stones and raced to the hills. Once there he dropped them near a rabbit hole then turned back to the steam, but not the one that led home.

Ashpaw knew that marigold grew best near here, and he had to get some fresh marigold of course. He sniffed the air and followed the scent of the herb to the Windclan border, where he began pulling up a few of the young plants.

Pulling at the orange flowers, he took a few and dipped them in the stream to wash away the bugs that were walking on them. Placing the clean ones besides him, he then watched as the colorful little bass swam by and began eating the bugs that were floating in the water.

The fish darted through the water like color manifested into motion, and Ashpaw found it quite therapeutic to watch. His light blue eyes followed the fish, flicking back and forth each time a new one appeared. Suddenly, there was a rustling in the bushes across the Windclan border, and Ashpaw's head shot up. What was that? "Hello? Who's there?"

Everything when quiet, only the sound of the breeze could be heard. Standing, he stepped over his herbs to guard them. Narrowing his eyes, he could make out a slim figure in the grass, and then a head.

"Windpaw?" He called, staring at the cream colored apprentice.

The she-cat lifted her head and stared deep into Ashpaws soul, "Its Windspirit.." She said sharply.

(Is it meant to be Windspirit? I'm confused… spirt isn't a word??)
Ashpaw locked eyes with the she cat. He knew he should have assumed she was a warrior at this point; she was a few moons older than him after all. "Windspirit." He said quietly. "When was the ceremony? Was it during my absence?" He sat back on his haunches, his tail swaying calmly.

(Sorry, I was writing fast… And Medicine cat? Oakleaf is her brother, he is the med-cat, she is a warrior)

"Uh… Well.." She was slightly confused at his comment, "We announced it at the gathering but you weren't there, so no?"

(ohhhh yeah I forgot lol)
Ashpaw nodded. "I suppose Riverclan didn't want to admit I had gone missing, hmm?" He curled his tail around his paws, concealing his half healed leg as well. "However, I'm back, and everything's in order. Surely Foxstar would have said that Finchsong had left temporarily, though?"

"Yes, yes she did, Finchsong did after all go with my brother to the tribe." She pointed out, "I'm hunting at the moment, but if you want to talk I will stay, I'm not in any rush."
(Gtg, good night)

(Night)
"Neither am I. All is well with Riverclan, I was just coming to fetch some marigold. Do you also get the feeling that Oakleaf will return… different? I don't know, I just have a feeling that Finchsong will not be returning with just him."

"Oakleaf always changes, so I know he will come back different." She sighed, sitting down near the waters edge, "So, uh, is anything happening in Riverclan? I'm totally bored at the moment….. NOTHING it happening in Windclan!"

"Well, Finchsong's favorite old couple died, we're having the elders' den re insulated, just general preparation for Leafbare." Ashpaw sat down on the other side, his tail tip flicking slightly.

"Aww, that's sad…" She sighed, "Well, three of our apprentices are now warriors! We now have to enlarge the warrior den because of them!"
