Once the group made it to the lab, Iidabashi greeted them immediately. He led them over to where he worked and explained what they needed to do after assessing all of Kiibo's physical damage. He was a bit worried if they could fix him with how many wires were severed, but he had to try. As long as Rantaro would help him, maybe it would work out.

“Kiibo, you should shut down for this,” rantaro requested

Kiibo nodded in response to the statement and quickly powered himself down. It was better that way, anyway, as at least then he wouldn't have to be in a lot of pain constantly. While he was aware that there was a chance that he couldn't be saved, he was sure that his father and Rantaro could successfully repair him. He really hoped that they could, as he didn't want to see Gonta upset any longer. All he wanted was for his lover to be happy.

Rantato nodded to the doctor, bringing their careful work

It took multiple hours, but they eventually repaired Kiibo. Maki hadn't severed anything critical, so he could be completely repaired. Iidabashi also made sure to upload something to his system to stop the pain, so he would be completely back to normal when he was powered back on. He'd need some time before he could power on again, since everything drained him, but he would be okay.

Eventually, kiibo did power back on, wincing at the bright light “papa?” he asked softly

Iidabashi rushed over to Kiibo's side once he heard his voice. Since it was late at night by then, the only people there were himself and Gonta, who had stayed by his lover's side the entire time, waiting for him to wake up. Of course, he had fallen asleep while waiting, so he wasn't aware of the fact that he was awake now.

"Oh, hey, Kiibo," he smiled softly. "You're fully functional again, and if everything went according to plan, your pain should be minimized or completely gone. However, I do have to ask, how are you feeling right now?"

“ strange.. My minds fuzzy.. “

Iidabashi nodded in response. It was only normal after a forced shut down for as long as that one was. He wasn't too worried about it since he was sure that Kiibo would return to normal in a little while. So far, everything was going as he had figured it would.

"That's to be expected," he stated. "Don't worry about that. You're gonna be alright, if this is implying anything. Just get some rest, okay? It is like two in the morning. Also, your boyfriend's here. He's asleep, but he is here."

“Can I see him?” he asked softly

Iidabashi nodded in response once more as he helped Kiibo sit up. First he needed to make sure that the other had enough strength to support himself, since he wasn't sure if everything had worked out as intended. He thought that it had, but he still needed to be sure.

"Now that you're sitting up, just look next to you. He kinda fell asleep waiting for you to wake up. He's only been asleep for an hour or so, and your friend and I finished preparing you hours ago, so he's been in this room since we finished."

“Oh.. Gonta..” he whispered solemnly “ I wish he didn't see that..”

Iidabashi sighed softly. He kept Gonta out of the room while he and Rantaro were working on the repairs, but he couldn't do anything about the fact that the other had to witness a lot of what Maki had done. He honestly felt bad about that. He was aware that it heavily upset and possibly even traumatized the other, and he knew from what Kiibo would say about him that he was just an innocent person trying to be a good person to everyone.

"I wish he didn't have to see what happened, either. We kept him out while we were repairing you just in case something went wrong, so he's only been in here since we finished, but yeah, I wish he didn't have to see what happened to you," he responded. "He was clearly upset about it."

Kiibo nodded, trying to stand up and go cuddle with gonta

Iidabashi made sure that Kiibo was supported, and then he eventually placed Kiibo in Gonta's lap. He hadn't meant to fall asleep while waiting, so he had just fallen asleep while sitting in the chair near where Iidabashi had laid Kiibo once he finished all of the repairs. He sighed softly after setting Kiibo down.

"I'd move him, but I can't really carry him. Clearly he didn't mean to fall asleep," he stated. "Maybe I should just wake him up and lead the two of you to a bedroom. That way you can at least sleep on a bed."

“Hell wake in a bit..” kiibo said softly “he always does..”
Kiibo just nestled into gonta and let his breath fall against the other's neck, letting him know that he was there. “ if the house hasn't changed, I'll just take him to my room..”

IIdabashi nodded in response to the statement. He remembered that he had been cleaning Kiibo's room out since he used it for storage while the other was at school, but he finally had room for everything in his lab, so he had been returning the room to its original state. As he remembered that it had been cleaned out, he was sure that the two could go there.

"I did clean your room out from when I needed to use it for extra storage, so you shouldn't have any issues sleeping there," he stared softly. "Also, if he is going to be awake soon, I'm gonna make sure that your room is ready for both of you."

“Thanks, papa” kiibo mumbled, dowsing back off in gontas warmth

Iidabashi gave Kiibo a soft smile before leaving the room. He needed to make sure that everything was out of the other's room so the two could sleep comfortably. After everything that they had been through that day, they deserved to be comfortable and sleep peacefully. It wouldn't make much better, but it would at least allow them to properly recharge, and if they slept well, maybe their minds would be off of everything for a while.

Kiibo waited for gonta to wake up, his body resting heavily on the others

As Iidabashi came back into the room to let Kiibo know that his room was ready for them to sleep, Gonta began to wake up. While he was a bit confused for a moment, not to mention tired from the day's events and having just woken up, he appeared to be relieved when he saw that Kiibo was there with him and back in one piece.

"Kiibo…?" he asked softly. "You're…actually okay…? Please…please tell Gonta that you are okay…"

“I'm fine gonta, kiibo is alright again..” he whispered, holding onto gontna

Gonta sighed in relief when Kiibo confirmed that he was okay. He had been so worried that the other wouldn't be the same after everything, but now he knew that it really was okay. HIs lover was alright, so there was no longer much to worry about.

"That's good…" he responded as he held the other close. "Gonta is so glad that you're okay…"

Kiibo cuddled into gonta “let's get to my room okay? We can get some sleep there..”
