Shuichi nodded in response. Maybe it was all that Rantaro could think of, although he didn't agree with it. However, he figured that he only didn't see it as necessary since he knew Kaito well enough to have come up with some solution for the issue.
"Alright…" he sighed softly. "Are we sure that he'll be alright, though…?"
“Yup, he's fine,” taro said and walked over to kokichi, softly tapping him
Kokichi jumped, scared out of his daydream
Shuichi nodded in response again. He didn't find a reason to doubt Rantaro on that, although he still wondered why things even got to the point that they had. He was aware of the situation, but even then, it didn't make sense how things kept getting worse.
"Well, if you're sure…" he responded. "Do you know when he should wake up…? I'm not sure how Kokichi's gonna feel about his boyfriend being unconscious…"
Kokichi shook his head, shakily getting up and walking over to his lover, shaking him awake
It took a couple of moments, but Kokichi eventually managed to wake Kaito up. Once he was awake, he just sighed softly. It didn't take him long to realize that Rantaro must have knocked him out, although he wondered why Kokichi shook him awake. He hadn't expected the other to help him out after what happened between the two of them. He didn't say anything at first, instead deciding to look at Kokichi. His eyes appeared to be apologetic. He wanted to end whatever argument had started.
Kokichi waited a moment before tearing up and hugging kaito
Kaito hugged Kokichi back after a moment, although he was certainly surprised by the hug. He was worried about him at the time, but he calmed him down a bit by realizing that he wasn't mad at him. It was a relief to know that he at least wasn't upset, although he still wondered if things would be alright.
(And time skip~!)
As time passed, things proved themselves to be alright in the end. Eventually, Kokichi was discharged from the hospital, although it was heavily doubted that his hearing would ever return. Once he was released, however, he was in a good enough condition to return to school the next day. However, even as he was returning to school, Kaito remained worried about him to some extent. It seemed as if the feeling just never faded. It decreased in intensity for the most part, although it would occasionally spike back up, but it was there nonetheless. Even so, he was heading to school with Kokichi at the time, so surely things were alright.
Kokichi would rely heavily on kaito for school and friends, but most times he just flipped people off
Kaito wasn't entirely sure why Kokichi was flipping almost everyone off, but he didn't mind it after a while. He just got used to it as he watched people's reactions to Kokichi's actions. Some seemed annoyed while others didn't seem to mind at all. After a while, it just seemed like most were going to avoid Kokichi altogether.
And that was what kokichi wanted, to be left alone. He couldn't hear so he couldn't speak. Then people wouldn't bambard kaito with questions
It was a relief to Kaito when people just decided to leave Kokichi alone after a while. He was a bit tired of trying to provide everyone with explanations for what happened, so it was nice when they finally stopped and left his lover alone. Of course, he was aware that he would likely have to deal with that for another day or two, but he was sure that things would be fine.
Though even being deaf, kokichi was back to his bouncy self
Kaito also seemed to be relieved about the fact that Kokichi seemed to return to his usual, energetic and playful self after a while, although there would always be concerns in his mind, things that he just couldn't get rid of. After almost losing his lover once, he was worried about it happening again, and he was also worried that even if his lover wouldn't die, other horrible things could still happen. For the most part, these thoughts were well hidden, although it was still pretty clear that he had been dealing with a lot of stress since the entire situation first started.
Kokichi smiled and jumped on Kaitos's back
Kaito couldn't help but laugh a bit once Kokichi jumped onto his back. It was certainly nice to see that all of his energy had returned, although it was unclear how long it would remain. At least his lover seemed to be back to his normal, playful self, which helped to prevent him from worrying too much.
Kokichi snuggled into kaito, nipping playfully at his neck
Kaito couldn't help but smile and occasionally laugh at Kokichi's actions. It was incredibly nice just to see the playful side of him return, to see him happy and enjoying himself again. He was just happy to see his lover in a good mood.
Kokichi yawned softly after a moment, watching as the sun set in the dorm windows
Kaito continued to smile softly as he watched the sunset with Kokichi through the dorm windows. All in all, his first day back at school had gone by pretty well, and it seemed like maybe things would work out. Maybe things would truly be okay again after all.
Kokichi signed ‘i love you’ to the other and nestled into him
Kaito smiled as he saw that, and he very quickly responded by signing "I love you, too", which seemed to prove that he knew sign language. He did, although he hadn't proved it much while everything was going on since he was a bit too stressed out to properly respond to most things. At the time, however, things were calm and happy.
‘You shouldn't stress so much..”
Kaito sighed softly. How Kokichi figured that he was still stressed about things was a bit of a mystery, but at the same time, he was Kokichi. He could see through just about any lie and could read people with ease. Still, it came as a surprise when they had been so calm a moment prior.
I know I shouldn't, and I'm not, he signed in response. At least to his knowledge, he wasn't actively stressing about something. That was a random thing to tell me…
