Kaito sighed softly as he nodded in response. If he had to, he would definitely call Rantaro again, but he really hoped that things would just end up getting better for Kokichi instead. He really didn't want his lover to suffer when he had already been through so much.

"Alright…" he responded. "I'll call you if anything happens… Just go back to Shu… If you're saying you need to get back to him, I dunno what happened, but he probably needs you…"

“He's been upset still, I don't want him waking without me”

Kaito sighed softly. He had no idea what happened, but he knew that something had to have happened for his best friend to be upset because of it. He wondered what happened while he was asleep, as it seemed like something bad must have happened.

"What even happened to upset him?" he asked softly. "Is he alright?"

“There was an incident at a restaurant they went to,” he motioning at the now sleeping kokichi

Kaito nodded in response as he sighed softly. Things must have gone pretty badly if it upset Shuichi to the point that he was upset hours later, so he hoped that the other would be okay. He honestly wished that he was there when it happened just so he could have protected his best friend, but he couldn't do anything about it.

"Oh," he sighed softly. "That's not good. I'm gonna guess there was a lot of yelling involved if Shu's still upset over it. Being yelled at tends to cause him to break down…"
