Owlheart followed the others into camp, feeling proud of herself for earning a compliment from Poppyheart, but also worried about Springheart and the kits. How much longer can Springheart go before she breaks? She thought, her eyes on the tan queen. I don't think I can stand seeing her like this much longer. Springheart had been the one to look out for Owlheart after her father, Gorsefeather, had killed his mate, Puddlesplash, and nearly succeeded in killing Stormcloud.
