Lance rolled his eyes then checked the time. It was getting surprisingly late. "I think we all should get some shut-eye," he said, loud enough and serious enough for the bickering siblings to listen. "Who knows what tomorrow holds."
“Alright,” Tempest said, leaning back. “I think I’ll sleep here.”
"No, no you are not," Leon said from beneath the pillows. "I claim this room and no one is sleeping here too." Lance rolled his eyes. "And I bet Lancy-boy would want to snuggle with his gilfriend anyway," the hungover lion continued.
Tempest rolled her eyes and stayed on top of her brother. “I’m not moving, and you can’t make me.”
Aquarius groaned.
Lance stood up, and so did Levi. "Suit yourselves. I'm getting my own bed." Levi grabbed a pillow and chucked it at Leon–who groaned at being disturbed–before leaving. Lance turned to leave.
Tempest have a tired wave. Aquarius was still trapped under her. “A little help?” He groaned.
Lance looked over his shoulder with an arched brow. "You're a grown male," he said, amusement sparkling in his eyes.
“But my sister is heavier than a mountain,” he said. Tempest snorted.
Lance tilted his head and turned around completely, arms crossed. "Are you calling her fat?"
“Yes,” Aquarius said.
Tempest gestured to herself. “Seriously? Look whose talking?”
Lance chuckled and rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Continue your bickering–I'm going to bed." He waved to Tempest and turned around again.
She waved. As she was distracted, her brother flipped her over and pinned her down.
“No fair,” she whined.
Lance heard her whine and chuckled lightly to himself as he left.
“Jerk,” she muttered as Lance walked out.
Lance headed to a room that had been assigned to him, then closed the door behind him when he walked in. He changed into some pajama bottoms then got into the bed. He rolled onto his back and stared up at the ceiling, not really tired.
(Should we do a time skip or something?)
Tempest pulled her hair from her face, staring at her reflection. She looked too serious. Too… cold. She sighed. She had enormous bags under her eyes, and looked weak and pale.
Aquarius has been infected. As had Ford, and Bay was hurt. The gods had staged an attack on the camp, and many people had gotten hurt or died. Or gotten taken.
The three Chimera brothers circled the camp in their animal forms, keeping sharp eyes out for enemies. Lance and Leon took the ground, while Levi mostly took the skies. He did, however, keep an eye on the ground below as well. After the attack and the number of casualties, they weren't risking another break. This was now serious, and they couldn't afford to let their guards down.
The three brothers kept each other up to date with their findings with curt reports of what they saw.
“Tempest!” Kenzie called from the bedroom tthebreo if them shared. “You’ve been in there for almost an hour.”
Lance took a few minutes to start grazing, hunger driving him away from his guard duties.
Tempest sighed, stepping from the bathroom. She was glad for her siren charm, because it hid the way she really looked. She sat down on her bed and stared at the wall.
"How're you feeling?" Lance asked Temptest through their mental bond. He lifted his head to look around as he chewed a bit of grass.
”Fine,” she said shortly.
"You sure? You can talk to me if you want," he offered, ducking his head back down to rip some more grass from the ground.
