"Hmm," he narrowed his eyes playfully. "I suppose. But I'd still like to know what you're thinking about."
"Hmm," he narrowed his eyes playfully. "I suppose. But I'd still like to know what you're thinking about."
Tempest shrugged. "Nothing interesting."
"Alright then…" He gave her one last look before going back to his food. He was surprisingly hungry.
"So," Tempest said. "Can you think of a time when you beat your brothers at something?"
He bobbed his head up and down in a nod. "Many, but the first thing that comes to mind is chariot racing. Leon doesn't have the patience, and Levi is more tech-savvy than anything."
Tempest snorted. "Leon not having enough patience? Shocking."
He smiled. "I know, right?"
She mirrored his smile. "Hmm. I'm better than my brothers at being a girl."
He snorted. "Shocking as well."
"I know, right? You'd think that Aquarius would be a great girl, what with his whining, but no."
He laughed. "In that department, I'd say he's got that requirement down better than you."
Tempest grinned. "Yeah. And Ford thinks he's so great, but he's dumb as rocks."
He chuckled. "Siblings are great targets to pick on, aren't they? Pretty sure that's all they're good for," he added jokingly.
"Absolutely. And making them do things for you, though I bet yours don't."
"Oh, I have my ways. A few well-timed threats should do the trick."
She grinned. "Like what?"
He ticked them off on his fingers as he spoke. "No more computer for Levi, force Leon to stay up all day, withholding the good food, lock them in cages for a week, no shopping, no hunting, etcetera."
Tempest mock gasped. "No shopping? What kind of monster are you?"
"A goat," he said flatly, lips twitching as he tried to suppress a smile.
Tempest laughed. "Oh no. How terrifying."
He grinned. "Indeed I am."
"More so than me." She stretched. "So, what do you do for fun?"
He shrugged. "Don't really do anything 'for fun.' I just kinda tag along with Leon and Levi and make sure they're not getting into trouble."
"You never have fun?"
"Not really, no. This is about as much fun as I've ever had."
