She tilted her head so she could see him with one eye. "You're so weird."
She tilted her head so she could see him with one eye. "You're so weird."
He put a hand over his heart and scoffed playfully. "Hey, that's mean."
She smiled weakly. "It's what I do." She jerked her head back at open door. "Go talk to your mom. Hang out with her."
"Are you sure you're okay?" he asked.
"Like I said, I will be. Just old scars needing stitched up again. Nothing new." She waved him off.
He gave her a light kiss on the top of the head. "I love you, alright?"
"I love you too," she replied, her voice and eyes full of sincerity.
He got to his feet and gave her one last smile before walking back into his room.
Rhianon was going through his stuff unbashfully.
"Uh…mom?" He asked, trying his hardest to not laugh.
"Hmm?" She turned, tilting her head. "Oh, are you done talking to Miss Hunt? I don't know what's for her so upset all the sudden."
He put a finger to his lips, an obvious, 'Shut up,' without having to tell his own mom shut up. "Old wounds. She'll be fine." I hope.
"Hmm. To think she'd be over it by now. They were 15. That's over 4 years to move on. Does she not care for you, truly?" Rhianon was just rambling at this point, as she had no clue how typical emotions and memories worked, as well as love.
"Mom, I love you, but you have this really bad skill of saying the worst possible thing at the exact right time," he mumbled, rubbing his nose.
She furrowed her brow. "Whatever do you mean?" Unlike Tess, she truly didn't see what was wrong with her.
"Well," Runner sat down on the bed again. "If something traumatic happens in a person's live, it often continued to cause problems down the line because of the affect it has on our mental health. And, yes, she truly does cares about me, but she cared for Tori just the same." He thought of how to put it in a way she would understand.
"So, imagine if I would die. You still have my sister, but would it not still make you feel bad that I was dead?"
She tilted her head. "…Yes. But that is a different kind of love, no? Kinship. Yours with Theresa and hers with you and Victoria is different. How do I put it?" She tapped her lips thoughtfully.
Runner waited patiently, trying to keep his frustration down as the conversation continued.
"Sexual?" She tried.
"Not yet, actually," he said, surprised when he didn't blush as he spoke.
"Hmm. I can't think of it." She didn't seem like she would go back to the situation at hand on her own.
He welcomed the change. "Anything you're looking for in my stuff?"
"Hm? Oh, no. Not particularly. Just curious, is all."
"Yeah, I only have clothes." He shrugged. "Never been one for jewelry."
"Hmm." She looked around. "Anything else you need me for?"
