Blight: Shudders
Man, of all the demon shit, nothing is like Corruption. About as bad as the 'abom…'
Ragnor: His eyes suddenly snap open
Don't even say those cursed things names right now…
Blight: Instantly shuts up, drawing his wings closer to himself to hide
Eve: Sighs, sitting down on her master's shoulder, ears laid back
Ragnor: Closes his eyes again, exhaling a cloud of smoke
If you're gonna listen in, try to be less discreet about it miss
Doesn't even glance over as he speaks
Eve, mind taking over with questions and such should they want to know more
Eve: Gives a soft chirrup, lifting off of Ragnor's shoulder, flitting over to the rest. Her voice is soft
Apologies…normally my master is pretty laid back, but the recent event we had to take care of has brought back some bad memories for him…
He rubbed his eyes, saying. "Much."
Cinthia shrugs, continuing her work I completely understand. I have my own demons to face, figuratively and literally speaking. She pursed her lips. I was simply listening for curiosity's sake.
Tess twisted her mouth to the side, contemplative. You good in a fight?
"Not without my pan." He said this completely deadpan (hehehehe), not showing an ounce of humor.
Eve: Hovers near Cinthia
Tis understandable to listen, especially when it comes to new information. Though if you wanna know anything, simply ask and I will answer what I can
Cinthia turned her computer to show Eve a picture. It was of a tall man with sharp fangs, long, black hair, pale skin covered in malicious tattoos, and a bloody whip in his hand as he grinned at them with obvious sick delight Is he a part of his corruption you speak of?
Tess placed her hands on her hips You want to learn how to fight with an actual weapon? Like a staff, maybe? Those suckers pack a serious punch if you use 'em right.
"I don't often get into fights, so I'm not sure what use I would have for it," he said, "But fuck it, why not?"
Tess grins happily at Runner's decision then pulls him down one of the halls, leading him to a large training area. She picked up a wooden staff and tossed it to him Catch.
He does indeed, surprise, catch it.
Tessa nods Good, you can at least do that. Then, in the blink of an eye, she was upon Runner, swinging a fist at his face
Eve: Tilts her head, looking at the screen, not used to strange devices. twitches her tail, then simply shakes her head
Not even close…sorry
The corruption is created by a demonic like beast, a spider-like monster that goes by 'Archanevour Lieweaver'.
It is he who has created the corruption, and it is he that controls it. The corruption tends to hate living things, any living thing. It spreads swiftly, by parasites.
Parasites find a suitable host, infect, then twist the host into a grotesque creature that is drawn back to a hive. Only known thing to kill Corruption is dragon fire
He doesn't even make an attempt to move out of the way, taking the full force to the face. He fell on to his back, laying spread eagle as he blinked rapidly.
Mizu: Are we just gonna sit here?
Ameria: I guess.
Cinthia snorts, unamused then you should bring Tessie along with you. She's all dragon fire. She then tilts her head Spider-like monster… Sounds like Arachne, a demon queen. Though, if you give her some chicken, she'll love you forever. Not exactly someone prone to causing corruption.
Tess expertly jumped and twisted in the air, landing behind Runner in a crouch. She prodded his cheek and handed him a small caramel-colored cube Here. This'll heal you. Reflexes Runner. Reflexes.
"Ya know, there's a reason why I'm named Runner, right?" He asked, chewing on the cube and swallowing it.
Eve: Frowns
That may be, but the corruption is powerful enough to even infect dragons who do not know how to deal with it
One slip, and they will fall
Ears lay back
Though there are worse things than the corruption
Ragnor: Opens one of his eyes, looking over
'Abominations', creatures that I'll wipe out to the bitter end
Glances to the arm and hand covered by the metallic gauntlet, seemingly staring at it for several moments, then shakes his head
Damn't…just wish I could forget sometimes…
Tessa pulled him to his feet, then picked up a staff of her own and spun it between her fingers You can only run for so long. Better to learn how to fight and not use it than not know and get your ass whooped. She got into a fighting stance Copy me.
Cinthia bit her lip as she glanced back at Ragnor I could probably help with that… She whispered reluctantly
He did so, albeit much less gracefully.
Tessa slowly went through the basic movements, guiding Runner herself occasionally, focusing on defense as opposed to offence.
Slowly but surely Runner began to catch on. It was obvious that he didn't have the speed nor agility to use the weapon effectively on offense, but his strength and smarts gave him an advantage on defense.
Tessa: Good. You're doing better. See if you can keep up. She sped up her movements, though not nearly as fast as she had been at the start. She swept her staff towards the floor, nearing his feet
