Tess's eyebrows flicked up in surprise, and a flicker of understanding passed through her eyes You lived on the streets too? Then she looked away, face darkening to something bitter and jealous. Her jaw clenched and her fingers flexed, as if she was holding back the talons You… had someone looking out for you? Helping you?
"For like, a day, maybe. They really just kinda introduced magic to me. Probably been living without them for 6 or 7 years now and that's a lot of time to hone a skill, ya know?" He looked completely unafraid, despite sensing the aggressive pulse her magic now took
She stood, hiding her jealousy behind an unfeeling half smile So I'm the only dirty street rat that no one wants. 6 or 7 years you say? I've been on my own from birth until I was sixteen, running through the streets, doing everything I could to survive and stay away from the government so they wouldn't conduct any more experiments on me or lock me in another asylum. She spread her arms out, cocking her head to the side But you couldn't even tell, could you?
Cinthia hung her head in exasperation at Tessa's second flare of anger Stars help me and my sanity
Mizu: Hugs Ameria
Ameira: Blushes but smiles
"I never pretended to have a harder life than you. You had asked me, I responded, you got mad at me. If you really have a problem with my past, gimme the word and I'm gone." He prepared to stand up.
Blight: Had returned to hanging upside down from the ceiling. Large ears swivel back and forth, listening
Tessa was suddenly violently yanked back. Cinthia had a hold of the back of Tess's shirt and glaring at her That's enough. Save it for training so you can blast Frosty to smithereens. Tess blinked, then hung her head sheepishly at Runner, muttering a quick apology. Cinthia sighed and ruffled Tess's hair, turning to Runner She means well. Deep, deep, down. Some scars take longer to heal than others. There is no need for you to leave, if you don't want to.
He chewed on the inside of his lip, the slight red tint on his face slowly fading. "I'm sorry for antagonizing. I'm not very good at resolving arguments." He settled back down where he was sitting. "Not very good at conversations, either. Practicing on trees is a lot different then actually talking to someone."
Blight: Turns his head, ears perking forward. Shifts a bit, but still somehow remains hanging on the ceiling
A lot of us aren't great with conversations here. I mean, we're really just a bunch of strangers thrown into a room, so can't blame some of us for feeling distrust, etc.
Mizu: They tend to be very emotional.
Cin: Agreed then she shook her head at Runner Not your fault. Tess is a natural hot-head. She gazed at the gloomy surroundings and wiggled her fingers If you lot would like, I could spin an illusion to make this place a little more… bright?
"Illusion…?" He thought hard. "Then….you control light. Yet…I get nothin' off of you…"
Ameira: I'm glad I'm a human. Too stoopid to know what they mean…
Blight: hearing 'bright', his red eyes flash glowing brightly. Lays his large ears back, releasing a loud hiss
Meeehhhh, I don't like bright lights though…I suppose I can allow it though, I'll just go hide in a darker corner
He turned to Ameira. "You think I'm not human?"
Again, she shook her head No, my abilities are… diverse. My illusions are essentially me manipulating your mind into seeing and feeling and hearing and smelling what I want you to see and fell and hear and smell. A lot like hallucinations, which I grew up struggling with. I'm also a Seer, my abilities geared towards memories and information, activated through skin to skin contact. Even I don't know the full extent of my abilities.
She turned to the others And by bright, I mean… happier? Comfier? Less gloomy. I can make a patch of darkness for you to hide in.
He scratched the side of his head, frowning. "All this stuff is confusing me. New gods, dragon people and new magic that I can't decipher."
Ameria: I never said that. I just mean that I'm stupid.
Tessa chimed in She also casts spells and she gestured to the side of her face, indicating the burns on Cinthia's face she can control Hellfire as well, having been subjected to it herself and survived. Not to mention a language freak.
Blight: Grins at the newest addition
Bruh, you get used to crazy shit
I mean, I'm a demon of pestilence and darkness, and I know quite a few other things
Turns to look towards Cinthia
Eh, do what you will sweetheart, I can make do with whatever is around.
"I could tell you had a problem with the light. Your magic seems to suck everything around it into a void, like a black hole. At least, that's how I'd describe it." He looked around at the ragtag group. "Why do I have a feeling that I'm the only person in here that doesn't have magic?"
Ameria: I technically don't.
Mizu: She does when I'm around.
Tess snickered Because most of us have explicitly said we are some sort of magical creature, at least part.
Cinthia raises an amused brow at Blight's 'sweetheart' Alright? She waved a hand, and, just like that, the surroundings seamlessly transformed into an open but wilderness-friendly city. The dirt roads were devoid of people, but the faint suggestion of activity rung in the air. The earthen buildings and tall trees provided ample amount of shadows for the light sensitive members of the group. Both Tessa and Cinthia visibly relaxed.
Tessa, with a bright grin: You magnificent creature! It's Isca!
He nodded. "Your souls are intertwined, or something to that affect, yeah?"
Mizu: The demon spoke up It's called a host bond.
