Tessa narrows her eyes at Blight, not liking how friendly he and her friend are being Cin, can't we just Yin Yang, erase this place's existence, and hop on over to Clojiynn? We got class to go to.
Cinthia sighs and pinches the bridge of her nose NO. We cannot do that. And since when did you care about going to class?
Tess goes back to pouting
"What happened when we were asleep?" Gloam asked, not taking her eyes off Tessa.
Tessa, feeling Gloam's gaze, faces her: Not much. People talked, I got temperamental, Cinthia threw a dagger at my face, I'm currently sulking and really wishing I had some music to listen to. Or at least some food.
Ameria:…Still confused
Mizu: You're ok though right?
"I know where some food is, I caught two hares and found a couple of apples, wanna' see?" Loch chimed in proudly.
(Hello! Just go with it) Tessa chuckled at Mizu's question. Cinthia called over Moko and started playing fetch with the demon Tessa: Yes, I'm fine. It hit a patch of scales. Just stunned me for a sec. And as for the food, Tess licked her lips greedily Hell yeah!
It was a pretty odd sight. Cold night, cold as all hell and then some, and it wasn't getting warmer anytime soon. The road that winded and weaved its way through the dense forest, lit up occasionally by a streetlights that glowed dim, bored-looking yellows that illuminated an area of 6 feet around the pole and nothing else. It was isolated, it was dark, and it was sketchy, yet Runner walked casually on the right shoulder of the asphalt, following the solid white line that set the firm boundaries on the road. He wore a thick sweatshirt with the word "Clemson" printed across the chest in bolded orange letters. A pair of jeans and sneakers capped off the unassuming outfit, but that wasn't the odd part of him. He held a thick, cast iron skillet loosely in his left hand, his upper body leaned slightly because of the weight. It didn't seem to be too uncomfortable, nor did it hinder his gait at all. But it was still weird, especially in the middle of nowhere.
(Jesus, that was longer than I expected)
Tessa stared wide-eyed at the strange guy Well. You're new.
He looked up from the line on the road, locking eyes with Tessa. "The magic that comes off of you…it's slippery. Freeforming." He stopped a few feet away from the girl. "You're a shapeshifter, aren't you?"
She grinned a toothy grin, clearly pleased by his observation. She stood and bowed dramatically Sun Dragon, to be exact. Glad you noticed. She then tilted her head You're not exactly normal, either, are you?
Cinthia watches the exchange in silence, keeping a careful eye on both. Moko, her familiar, returned to his perch across her shoulders
"Alright, but I can't cook if you want 'em that way you gotta' do it yourself. Also, Gloam should come with me this time just because."
"No, I'm actually as normal as can be. Just a little more…observant." He frowned, biting the inside of his cheek for a moment. "No…there's something more about you. Very powerful. Aggressive." He made the face of an intelligent man trying to work out something simple, then his eyes opened slightly. "Demigod…..Ares?"
(I already love this character, so many possibilities!)
well that took longer than needed))
Hello! I'm the new guy :P))
Loch doesn't even wait for a response and just flies away with Gloam at her side.
(Which character?) Tess's eyes lit up with delight. She turned to face Cinthia I love this dude! Then faced the newcomer again Not quite. My father's a god, yes, but he's… different. He's an Ancient One, ruler of one of the nine realms. Reavitaven is his domain, the Fire Realm. She tapped her lips thoughtfully Though, from what I've heard of Ares, they're both permanently pissed off gods with hot-headed children. Good guess, though.
Mine, imao, that sounded super self centered)) He tilted his head as she explained who her father is. "Hm. Never heard of any of that. Care explaining, or am I overstepping boundaries?"
Runner has to tread lightly, only thing he has to defend himself is a cast iron skillet, lol))
She crouched down, arms braced on her knees–her most comfortable position Nah, you're good. Most people don't know about the Ancient Ones. She hooked a thumb at the girl behind her Cinthia over there is one of the highest class of Ancient Ones there is–a Royal. Basically, the universe is split into ten realms, nine being ones where the planets are located and are ruled over by the middle class Ancient Ones, and the last one being the very center and the HQ of said rulers and home to the Creator and Oracle–Cin's parents. Each of the other nine realms is ruled by four gods, my father being one of them. She bit her lip in thought Does that make sense? I'm sorta new to this myself, being from Earth and all.
"Yeah, pretty much. I'm Runner, by the way." He offered no hand and stayed in the spot where he had stopped.
Tess: Theresa, but call me Tessa. I hate that name. She didn't move either, but studied him with the curiosity of a wild animal So, what about you, Runner? Her nostrils flared, picking up his scent What's your story?
"Story? Well, it's not much, but sure." He sat down, setting the pan next to him. He leaned back on his hands looked up at the sky. "Well, first thing I remember is running through a city's streets, just hauling ass. Probably about nine. I had no clue what I was running from, but I knew it would cause some trouble. I have no clue how long I I spent weaving through those alleys and jaywalking across intersections, adrenaline does that to your memory. But eventually I began to hear someone whispering. But no matter where I went, I couldn't get away, like someone was floating right behind my head. The voice slowly got louder and louder, growing into a motherly tone that had a way of calming a panicked child's nerves. I stopped running eventually and let it lull me to sleep, and when I woke up, I was in a trash heap with this lady dressed in those poofy dresses from, like, Civil War times. Mrs. Martha. She explained how she was a spirit, and how many others were like her that wanted to talk to me. They showed my how to feel each different type of magic, from the elemental to the godly. Taught me to think of them as food that you taste. Each one tasted different, so therefore you can recognize it and identify. Then, with a shit load of crying and hugging, they sent me away, and I've been walking ever since." He looked back at her, his hazel eyes glinting off of someunseen light source, giving him a eerie look.
