(K-ok, I want to hold her!! XD)
He turned to look at Austin and Felix, “It seems we have another little friend.”
He turned back to Abie, “well, you are no longer alone, and once we have explored the tunnel we will return to a warm, well-lit room.” Bending low he gently picked her up and wrapped her in his cloak, the poor thing was trembling with cold, and he felt his heart go out to the animal. He turned back to Austina and Felix knowing he must look a fool, he smiled sheepishly. “Sorry, I have been told I care too much for animals,” he gently patted its head, “after what happened in…..well, it just makes me angry to see hurt, or frightened animals.”
fluffy shep love to have a snuggle, Abie told him happily, her fur turning from dark golden-yellow (scared) to light aqua-blue (happy).
"Hey!" yelled Myra, sticking her head in the tunnel, "Can you hear me? Are you guys dead yet?"
Arwood froze and grabbed Austin’s arm stopping him in his tracks and holding up his hand for silence. He wanted to put out the light but knew it had already been seen. Sliding past the two men, he moved silently forward, he could see a small shape just outside the torches light. “Hello?” he called taking another step forward, eyes squinting as he tried to make out the shape and grip tightening around his sword hilt.
Austin had to use all his willpower to stop himself from going absolute apeshit. Once Arwood let go, Austin bent over, panting.
"Jeez Austin, you good?" Felix patted Austin's back twice and backed off, not really sure what to do.
"Yeah- Yeah I'm fine." Austin panted. "Was just holding my breath for a minute unexpectedly."
Austin straightened up and held up his hands when Felix tried arguing. "I'm fine, honest. Lets just get to the end of this tunnel."
Austin looked back to Arwood. "It's fine. Em would do the same thing." With that, he slid past the man and began walking at a brisk pace, impatient to reach the end.
When the group got to the end, the light from Austin's flashlight revealed a lever stuck between the boards of wood that made up the walls.
We made it to the end. There's a lever in the wall. If it's a way out we'll try and come back to get you guys. Austin shot the text to Mel as Felix yanked on the lever.
The wall in front of them slid to the side with a grind, leaving the group shielding their eyes from the light. Austin stepped out into the light, finding himself in…
A room full of weapons.
"Aw, for fucks sake, it isn't the wine cellar?" Felix moaned.
"We weren't even walking downhill idiot."
"Hey!" yelled Myra, sticking her head in the tunnel, "Can you hear me? Are you guys dead yet?"
Mel watched the girl shout down the tunnel, then pulled her phone out when she got a text. "They aren't dead. They just got to the end of the tunnel. They ended up in a room full of swords and stuff apparently."
Jarrod sighed. "It was probably too much to hope for it to be an exit anyways."
Abie hopped out of Arwood's arms and ran around the weapons room, curiously sniffing things.

Mashka, meanwhile, was looking curiously at the small, glowing object in the girl's hand. She hadn't seen anything like it before. "What's that?"
Vozreal was in his room, when he heard a bang. He went downstairs.
"Hey, was that bang you guys?"

Arwood walked forward blinking rapidly against the light. When his eyes become accustomed to the change he peered at the different types of weapons, some of which he had never seen before. He picked up a sword and tossed it between his hands testing the weight and balance, he shrugged and set it back up onto its stand and turned to Austin. “What happened back there?” He asked, staring into Austin’s eyes as if to search his mind, “I touched you and…something seemed to happen to you as if my touch caused you physical pain. Did it? Does physical contact cause something to happen, something that I should be aware of for both yours and my own protection?”
Abie wandered up to them, a dagger in her mouth. She was holding it by the hilt. shep found a toy. play with the shep?
Arwood stared at Austin for a moment longer then glanced down to see Abie with a knife in between her teeth. He knelt, “Can I have the knife?” He asked, holding his hand out for Abie to drop it onto his palm, “we will play later with a real toy, but right now let us look about the chamber and see if we can find some clues.”
but shep want to have a play. Abie tilted her head and wagged her tail once.

Austin met Arwoods gaze, revealing yellow eyes. "Let's just call it animal instincts. Trauma is a tricky subject."
Austin walked past the man and glanced at the weapons. He spotted a door and walked through it.
He was in a large open room with a shallow pit in the middle. Seat surrounded the pit, with multiple levels.
"This isn't actually what I think it is."
"Is this a fucking arena?!" Felix shouted, a massive grin splashed across his face. "This might be better than a wine cellar! No, not really, but very nearly!"
Mashka, meanwhile, was looking curiously at the small, glowing object in the girl's hand. She hadn't seen anything like it before. "What's that?"
Mel looked at the girl questionably. "It's a phone. You use it to message people."

“Did you say arena?” Arwood asked, walking through the door, he spun a full circle starring in awe at the large room, he turned back to the door they had just exited and froze. His face grew grim as the bitter taste of doom filled his mouth and mind. He turned his head to Austin and Felix, his eyes were cold, bleak, and empty. “I have seen this before, I have been involved with something like this before, we need to get out of here.”
Abie trotted up to them, fluffy tail held high. The knife was still in her mouth. She peeked around their legs curiously.
Austin and Felix both gave Arwood a confused look.
"Yeah. It's a death pit. You fight to the death. We have these at home, you bet on the winner. But the entire room is empty. Nobody to fight, nobody to die, and nobody to watch. Unless…" Felix turned to Austin with a smirk on his face. "You want to try sparring again Austin?"
"You shot at me with a fucking gun you prick. No."
“I know what it is.” Arwood spoke in a low soft voice, “I fought in one many times and do not wish to do it again.” He indicated the phone in Austian's grip, “you should probably tell Jarrod and decide what to do about it.” His eyebrows slowly knitted together in disbelief, “you shot your friend with a…gun?”

"Technically I never shot him. Just shot at him. He's good at dodging bullets apparently." Felix started walking down to the pit.
"Well it helped that your aim was shit."
"I was going easy on you!"
Austin turned back to Arwood, rolling his eyes. "Yeah, I'll text Jarrod and tell him about the arena. The fact that this room is so big after a 5 minute walk means this place is massive. Who knows what else is in this place."
Austin sat down on one of the seats and started texting Jarrod and Mel. Felix found an arming sword and was dancing about the death pit, swinging the sword about, slashing and stabbing and deflecting as if he were in battle. It was pretty obvious that his only experience with real swords was from movies.
shep want to have a play! Abie bounced down in front of Felix. The knife was still in her mouth. play with the shep!
Arwood watched Felix for a moment, then, shaking his head started down the pit. Just as Felix performed an overhead cut, Arwood unsheathed his sword and met the stroke in a bind. In a smooth motion, he broke off by rising the hilt and taking a step forward, trapping the messer underneath his shoulder, at the same moment, he pressed the edge of his sword against Felix’s wrist and twisted out. The sword was yanked from the opponent’s grasp and Arwood stopped with the tip of his sword right at Felix’s chest.
He gave a thin smile, “It has been a while since I used that technique,” he held out the sword waiting for Felix to take it back.
(Everyone: what do you have)
(Shep: A knife!)
(Everyone: NO!)
(What can I say? She thinks everything's a toy.)
