Samual looked up. While he wasn't the biggest fan of dragons, he held no prejudice against them. They had done nothing personally to him, so he wasn't of the dragon-slaying variety of hero.
Samual looked up. While he wasn't the biggest fan of dragons, he held no prejudice against them. They had done nothing personally to him, so he wasn't of the dragon-slaying variety of hero.
"Gloam!?" She called, landing on a large boulder, flapping her wings as if trying to draw attention to herself while standing on her hind legs trying to get a better view.
Samual saw something glittering at the bottom of the boulder the dragon had landed on. Could it be…? It was: the Mater Gem. He could finally bring Sarah to this world. All he had to do was get to it…
Her ears perked up, swiveling towards him before her head, looking down at him she blinked, following his gaze to the jewel below her. Peering at it curiously she grabbed it in one talon and inspected it, holding it gently, still keeping an eye on the 'thing' in front of her.
"Be careful! If you touch it incorrectly, you could get transported to another world…" Samual stared at the gem. It was the only way to help Sarah… and it was in the grip of this dragon.
(oh, btw, Samual is an elf)
Ah, thanks))
She looks to the gem, then back to the elf before setting it down in front of him, deciding it wasn't worth the risk of leaving Gloam again out of stubbornness.
Samual gingerly picked up the Mater Gem with a cloth. He could finally bring Sarah to him.
"Thank you."
She didn't really respond aside from a nod. He seemed genuinely worried and didn't want it out of greed or power.
Samual pulled out his Mater Glove. It was the only item that allowed the user the ability to use the Mater Gem to transport others. With a swipe of his gloved hand, the gem started to glow. An image of a girl began to hazily appear beside Samual.
The dragon watched in awe, tilting her head and staring at it with wide eyes.
Suddenly, the image solidified, and a girl stood there. She had mousy brown hair, a violet sweater, and baggy sweatpants.
"Samual, you could have warned me, you know!"
Still staring a little, she curled her thick tail around her back legs like a cat, waiting until they left to take off, thinking that she might knock them over with a powerful burst of wind from her strong wings.
Sarah reached for something in Samual's backpack. She pulled out a book.
"Ready?" She opened the book and started chanting a spell. The started to lift in the air.
Fire water wind and rain
make our enemies rue the day
they took our ally away
take us to her darkened cell
and bring our enemies down to hell
They started to fly away.
(Sarah is from Earth, btw)
Despite her thinking, as soon as she heard her saying the spell, she darted out of the area, and almost hit them with her tail by two feet of distance in between. And in a couple of seconds, she disappeared into the sky.
Samual looked at Sarah.
"Well, that was a thing." The zoomed away, unaware that they were going the same direction as the dragon.
The dragon had no idea either, muttering something to herself but it wasn't about them. "I gotta' find her, where is she? With her changing scales she could be anywhere!"
Sarah and Samual were going so fast they caught up with the dragon. They were flying above.
Sarah was still chanting, but Samual said, "Well, this is interesting."
"GLOAM?!?!!!" She roared, cuffing her talons around her mouth to make herself louder.
Samual pointed.
"I wonder who this Gloam is?"
Heads up; I might pass out))
They seemed rather irritated and anxious, whipping their head around to search.
Okay)
Sarah shrugged, not breaking the chant.
"Aww, that's an adorable name! Speaking of names have you seen a SeaWing named Loch? I don't remember exactly what happened but we got separated in some sort of greenish-purple storm, it was kind of scary. OH, anyway, Loch's a blue-green (green-blue is too blue) with a bright sky blue underbelly, glowing scales that look like tiny rivers and rounded rectangles, a fish-like spine running down her back from her neck to her tail tip and a smaller one on her chest, a tadpole-like tail and deep blue horns and claws. Personality wise, I think she's very nice and keeps saying she would "protect her friends even if it meant going through a SkyWing's fire and an IceWing's frost breath" which I find very brave and sweet, but she mostly says it to me, I don't know why though." She stopped her rambling to think while waiting for an answer.
Soáki: “Oh. Her.” he gestured irritably “She went that way.”
"Thank you, sir!" Gloam said cheerily, taking off in that direction.
Loch, however, after searching for three hours straight (only with the short break of interacting with Samual) she perched herself on a cliff and wrapped her wings around her front, burying her face, with her tail curling around her legs once more.
