(You could've contacted me and I would've provided a link. I'm glad that you found though!)
Principal Bailey seems friendly enough.
If you gotta yell at the teacher just to have a conversation, then that teacher should retire.
15 students in a classroom? When I was in school we had 20-30!
That was actually a great comeback! 😁
Though it makes Jacob seem like a dick…. This poor guy just can't catch a break.
Too late, unnamed East Indian girl.
Ew, basketball….
Mike, Jacob's clearly the competitive type and apparently quite athletic. Just let him get your team to win the game against Dane's team….
And now everyone's pissed with him because Jacob won the basketball game against the stereotypical jock!
Oh, hello again unnamed East Indian girl!
Nice to meet you Malini! Oh, the author got you to provide how to pronounce your name. That's nice!
Awe, Jacob made a friend! 😁
You'd better make use of MAHL-in-NEE's thorough biology notes, Jake!
Lol, he just asked if they could study together! Good boy, Jacob!
Yep, ignore the bullies.
Is the author seriously expecting me to believe that Malini, the exotic Indian girl, doesn't have any friends other than Jacob? Yeah, no…. I'm from a small town myself, and literally everyone wanted to befriend foreign exchange students. People tend to flock to things that are new, exotic, and exciting.
Uh-oh, teenage hormones!
Of course the already unlikable bullies are also racists! Smh.
I like Malini.
They're not worth it, Jacob. I suggest finding a much safer, healthier way to release your anger.
The Soulkeepers Chapter 6: Dane
Great, a POV change. I usually don't mind POV changes, but I don't know about this one. Dane is one of the racist bullies. He better get a great redemption arc if he isn't the main antagonist. Even if he is, there'd better be something to make me at least understand him!
Side note: I still don't understand the title of the book, and that's not okay!
The chapter's opening paragraph makes it seem like Dane is cheating on his girlfriend, and I'm not sure how I feel about that.
Oh hey, it's the mysterious girl from chapter 4!
