I can understand most of what he's saying, yet it would be nice if I could completely understand him!

Yeah, I don't like Mr. Swales.
Mina wondering and worrying about Jonathan is heartbreakingly sweet.
Back to Dr. Seward's journals and Mr. Renfield.
Flies and spiders. The circle of life!
Flies, spiders, birds, kittens/cats…. I shudder to think of how Renfield plans to get rid of the cats when they become a problem too!
Yay, save the poor kitty, doc!
Oh boy…. Those poor, poor sparrows. 😥
It doesn't take a genius to figure out that something is seriously wrong with Mr. Renfield.
Doc. Seward is evidentially the type to bury his sorrows in his work, which isn't exactly healthy. I can relate though! When I'm grieving the loss of someone or am dealing with other situations beyond my control I tend to distract myself with something that I can control. I make sure to moderate though, and gradually address things.
And back to reading Mina's journal…. I still feel minorly guilty for reading a fictional person's journal.
Unhappy about Lucy? Why, Mina?
Oh, Lucy sleepwalks….
Poor Mina….
Poor Lucy….
While I may not like Mr. Swales, I do have to say that I do at least feel sorry for him and like that he apologized to Mina.
I like that Mr. Swales foreshadows the coming of Dracula in his apology speech!
Ship in a storm…. I think that I'm getting closer to where I was when I originally tried to read Dracula, though I'm not completely sure on that!
The Soulkeepers Chapter 5: The Lows of Paris High
That's an interesting chapter-title.
(Stopping here for the night.)
Pretty bold and optimistic of you to assume that Jacob's going to have a good time at this school, John.
I don't know what it feels like to come into a different school at the start of a new semester, part way through the year. The only thing that I can be sure of is that it's an awkward situation.
Oof, what a dick move.
The office secretary is making it difficult for Jacob to get along with her. However, it is also partly his fault, what with the passive-aggressiveness and what not. I think that it's always a good idea to try to become friends with school office secretaries.
More experienced doesn't necessarily mean better, nor that they'll be liked, especially when it comes to teachers.
