(What's the first one about?)

(A town thinks that offering babies to a witch would prevent her from terrorizing it, but the witch actually takes the offered children and gives them to families in a different town. One day she accidently gives one of the children powers and decides to raise the child as her own.)

(Sorry if I explained it badly, but it's a great book!)
